Big tech are going to kill themselves with hiding information. They aren't designed to be bias but they so obviously are
If I search for something, all links should pop up, when they don't that's an issue. They're a publisher now, not a search engine (different laws)
When this search relates to politics or medical information, the government has to step in... but who's brave enough?
More and more people are seeing the problem. It will then become a political issue and we know politicians love easy votes. Like lockdowns are easy votes currently, imposing stricter laws on big tech will be the low hanging fruit and we'll see change. It just requires a few bigger countries tackling it together imo
Probably too many people are ignoring the question. What is the difference between 1993 and 2021? It really is a case of history repeating itself with a opposite outcome
In 1993, the news was suppressed, the death tally counted up and a "whoops, just a bad year I guess" excuse trotted out until later on in the decade when they were kind of like "Yeah what happened here"
Id summarise it as the basic ideology of.
"In 1993, we consumed by foot, in 2021 we consume at home"
In 1993 if I wanted to buy something from Woolworths or in the US like Walmart, id drive to the shop, get my wallet out, give them my cash and drive home. In 2021 if I want to buy something from Woolworths or in the US like Walmart I can and they would prefer if I logged onto a website, clicked Add to Cart, put my credit card details in had a driver drop it off at my door step. Most big corps have gone this way. Even the larger franchises like McDonalds for example have jumped on this gravy train. The core reason is it allows someone to sell a good and a service and essentially take in a second chance for a profit. You can profit from selling the item and profit from the delivery too
In a way the only businesses in the entire world who still operate on that drive, wallet, cash concept is well small business and big corp and big tech are both smart enough to know that this is the competition they need to crush. Tech want it crushed because they know the more we drive to online purchasing, the more ad revenue they can generate. Big corp want it crushed because they know they can double dip from a sale and create a economic environment that only they can prosper in. Media benefit because the more money big corp has, the more competition for ad space, the more money they make. Politicians benefit from the fact the more money big corp has, the more money they can be given. They can also track and chase expenditure easily and it makes the job of policing the system so much easier. Very hard to hide your money from people if the system becomes cashless and all done via cards and online trading where essentially each receipt is logged and searchable
In a weird way guys, not wearing a mask or not taking a vaccine isnt really the core and fundamental step to overcoming the problem because as long as the changes drive consumption in the manner they want, the overlying actions of suppression and political rule will continue. Best thing to do worldwide is for people to backtrack our consumption patterns to a more foot and traffic consumption style. If we create a system where we consume by foot and not at home, they wont lock us up in our homes anymore when its all said and done
All this is probably too big a step and a "its too late, we lost" argument I think unfortunately
Dan's usually salivating at positive tests, yet seems abit toned down of late. Guessing after the tennis wraps up next weekend, Vics will be getting bent over again.

Bit hard when they've all gone broke from high rentsDon't shop at big retailers, shop at small locally owned ones.
This has GFC written all over it. Where when workers were slashed in industries and countries not affected it was the catch all. Now we have CovidAnd yet 50k at a minimum will converge on the MCG the night before and later that day, you actually wonder if these people think about things before opening their traps.
Jamie Twidale, the CEO of RSL Victoria, said after extensive discussions with the Anzac Day Commemorative Council, government and the Shrine, the decision was made to scale down the event this year because of the changing coronavirus situation.
“When you look at all the elements … it’s a pretty big COVID risk and really, really hard for a group of volunteers to organise,” Mr Twidale said.
It's two and a half months away you braindead idiot and it's always covid as the excuse, why don't you just say you don't have any cash to run the event because nothing being open in 2020 probably hurt your bottom line and the government doesn't want to pony up the difference, so it's better to just cancel and use covid as a very convenient excuse rather than just being honest. Just my opinion off course.

Then were shut
Will struggle to survive lockdown.
I rarely buy online and am one of the last few who still predominantly use cash
Don't shop at big retailers, shop at small locally owned ones.
Plenty are still around, and offer online purchasing.
I dont have a Amazon account for that reason. Would rather chop my dick off and feed it to the wolves
The reality is though, we are the exception and not the norm
Dont close your eyes and pretend the small locally owned ones are not doing worse while the big boys fly. JB HiFi/Harvey Norman and cos quarterly statements tell us all you need to know about that
I wish it wasnt the case myself, but you cant ignore the reality because it doesnt suit the narrative. Worldwide big business is doing much much better then small ones
Thats not really true in the sense, they offer online purchasing but unlike big business it comes at a cost to them. A good example is the auto industry. Bursons have crushed their competition this year largely thanks to the fact they organised a deal with Toll where there shipping costs are about 3 bucks each, which allows them to add on profit. At the same time Toll and co created surchase costs for the smaller businesses. Essentially if Bursons sends you a part it costs Bursons 3 bucks and the customer 9. If Bobs Autos sends you the same part it costs Bobs Autos to that same area in Perth 40-120 bucks in alot of cases and Bursons 3 bucks and the customer 9.
They offer the product at a cost, Big business offers the product at a benefit. The move to online purchasing is hurting them because when it comes time to compete, they get absolutely crushed by big business with nothing they can do to turn the tide
Online purchasing is the evil here, not the big business purchase in itself. The online purchase is creating the lack of competition as opposed to the want or desire to spend there. I mean if you go to your mechanic and the mechanic says, I can buy the part for 60 bucks from Bursons or 180 bucks from Bobs Autos, are you gonna tell him to go to Bobs Autos? Not bloody likely.
I'll say it again, I'm sick of the blobbenly masses. Stuff 'em. I'm no longer gunna spread facts about the probably dodgy vaccines made by proven dodgy companies, because if more plebs get jabbed, then Dan's and Scomo's goons are less likely to force us to get it down the track.Pointless banging your head against that wall.....
