Brazil is fantastic is some areas but lots of poverty. The gap between the haves and have nots is getting wider too. Locking down would have been way worse but that doesnt suit the narrative of people not getting a cold

Why does a pandemic need constant advertising or promotion of vaccination if it's as deadly as we're keep being told .

I imagine because the uptake on vaccination is so low and lagging most of the western world. Understandable because it’s not a threat within Australia. Will be difficult to open up to rest of world if that percentage doesn’t increase though.

It shouldn't be. Open up, people who aren't vaccinated are more than willing to take a 'chance' against a virus whereby most of the people who get it need a test to confirm they're 'sick'

Vaxxing everyone as the way out is essentially a childish way of creating a impossible path too success in order to ensure you dont achieve it. Its a bit like walking around the playground and saying "Ill give you a million dollars if you do a triple backflip somersault with your eyes closed". Would be cool to see, but its never gonna happen so you will never have to give up that 1 million dollars.

The govt loses too much by giving up the control its gained so instead they will create a goal they cannot achieve so they can alter the goalposts as they wish to move them.

Reality can be somewhat hard to fathom but never insulting. The insulting part of it is turning a blind eye on it because it makes you feel sad and guilty. Hiding from it wont make it go away

The harsh realities is Bolsanaro could either let children starve or let old people die. He chose correctly.

The true reason behind all this is corruption within the highest ranks in Brazil. Once they stamp that out, these people can live the life they deserve and they can be the modern world they ought to be.

It does sadden me that more people are outraged at Bolsanro for letting the virus run, then President Xi for letting the virus be created and spread.

It comes down to really media control. Media push the Bolsanro hate because it has no economic consequences for them. They will never criticise China because it will have economic consequences to them. Aristotle needs to live outside of the commercial bubble and create his own morals, his own principles and his own goals even

Regurgitating others opinions I understand makes you feel inclusive in a community which is why you do it, but you also need to understand that being inclusive in a community also means you need to waive rights to certain morals and principles at the same time. Best to live your life free of influence, then be influenced and compromise your principles and humanity to include yourself in the immorality virtue thats overcome us. The virtue whereby we push over old people and young mothers to get our 120th roll of toilet paper, the virtue whereby we complain about others working and being dangerous whilst we sit behind our mahogany desks on 750 dollars a week (in comparison Brazil maxxed out its lending capabilites to hand out 80 AU dollars to its starving citizens, compare that to Australias current 35,000 dollars it did during JobSeeker) and ultimately in this case the virtue where you expect people to stop working, stop eating, a problem you will never have to not get a virus with a 99% mortality rate, a problem you could have.

You can be a part of that lifestyle but I wont be.

During the big lock down here in Victoria no-one from the family could visit her for a period of about eight weeks because they had two people there test positive to Covid one after another (a nurse and then a cleaner) so they locked the whole place down and the family were not allowed to visit. My friend and her family were not happy about this at all. Nonetheless her mother survived and did not catch Covid (I don't believe any of the patients at that nursing home ended up with Covid)

Yesterday I found out her mother had the AZ vax last week and afterwards had a stroke, she is not expected to live much longer.
