They are naturally full of umami
Cut the roots off, plant them and pick the new ones by cutting them at ground level, leaving the roots in and you will never need to buy them again
this little piece of information has made my day, i have some in the fridge and will plant some now :) thanks mate

It sort of feels like the calmness of the 90s has sort of returned again without the same hope for the future but perhaps a chance to be excited about the other side of the Covid/Economy. Actual space on the roads again, 2010's was crazy busy everywhere, back to a sensible economy, and the rise in narcissism from 2010-2020 was becoming astounding, now feels like it's been cut down to size again. In the 2010's, look how many people bought housing at high prices and believed in perpetual growth to the stars as well as mass consumption as if it was nothing. I'm not sure that we'll see anything like it again.

Feels like a collective sigh of relief that things can slow down a bit and maybe the narcissism epidemic will change to something a bit more sensible and things can just slow down to a humane speed again for the benefit for peoples wellbeing, one would hope.

- The official start of work-from-home and perhaps the 4-day working week becoming normalised.
- Maybe a basic income some day? More help for underemployed people.
- People playing music in their room with acoustic guitars again.
- Bordom turning into satire.
- sarcasm being channeled into humour a bit more.
- Cooking more meals and respecting food knowledge a bit more
- More time to read and learn..
- Less emphasis on keeping up with the jones's.
- People feeling a bit more levelled in status across the spectrum.
- People respecting their money and budget a bit more.
- Hopefully finding time to relax and slow down.
- Re-thinking an Re-tooling of life in general.

I've been furloughed one day per week until the end of the year, and now I've no desire to go back to full time work. Mrs KK also works part time, recently increased to 0.8, and with WFH we can work it so we get a day off each to do chores, can do every school run and get weekends free for family stuff.

The financial hit is far from devastating and will give a much better work/life balance. Really valuing that and the quality time we can spend as a family more than the lost income.

Totally agree with most of your points. Parents are out walking and playing with their children. Haven't seen so many since I was a kid. I do worry that, humans being what they are, people will fall back into their bad habits (using the phone to follow Instagram instead of taking their child outside)
