Victoria's road toll is down by 33 compared to last year.
Wonder how much of a correlation there is between that number and actual motorists on the road during the same period?

I think correlation is strong.
R.T numbers wise its expected to be less with less people on the roads

I remember at the start of the Rona someone told me that more people die in a car crash than covid deaths. OK.

Maybe I've imagined it but people seem to be socially distancing their cars away from other cars while driving.

Perhaps, tho i imagine in a month or so people will go back to practicing shit driving behaviour

Actually enjoying. Go to work but no unnecessary meetings.
Come home via social distancing, go for a walk, shopping for food without crowds, and no longer have to deal with hysterical imbecilic morons.

If you want to catch up with someone go for a walk with a coffee and exercise in pairs away from crowds. And did I mention no longer dealing with hysterical morons.

I get the feeling the hysterical morons will be even more hysterical after this 6 week lockdown.

What a time for AFL in Queensland and NSW
i do hope they stop with the double headers tho - they are not selling the full (available) capacity tickets (6000 i think it is) for the two day games this weekend as they cannot clean the stadium in time for the two night games. so hopefully they in future do the 3 or 4 games over 3 or 4 days.

we always wanted friday night footy on the gold coast hopefully we get some!

here is a great positive, reckon we will hear about it on the news ?

...........

A Stanford medical expert is urging people not to panic over the surge in coronavirus cases occurring in several parts of the U.S., arguing it doesn't matter how many cases there are but only "who gets the cases."

Scott Atlas, former chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical Center and a senior fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution, said Monday that for people under 70, the death rate from COVID-19 is lower than or equal to the seasonal flu.

Very good news, the scare around asymptomatic covid spreaders put to bed.

of course the scare was based on lies and bad science, but as per usual in this covid era people who questioned that narrative were made to feel bad and ostracized, in fact medical professionals who questioned it were shunned and deplatformed by both the MSM and social media.

“The sources that claimed that the coronavirus would infect during the incubation period lack scientific support for this analysis in their articles,” says a document with frequently asked questions the agency posted on its website yesterday. “This applies, among other things, to an article in [NEJM] that has subsequently proven to contain major flaws and errors.” Even if the patient’s symptoms were unspecific, it wasn’t an asymptomatic infection, says Isaac Bogoch, an infectious disease specialist at the University of Toronto. “Asymptomatic means no symptoms, zero. It means you feel fine. We have to be careful with our words.”
