If that's the logic you're using, presumably you also think the Iranian Ayatollah is a 'Jesus freak', which would certainly be a big conspiracy.

In reality, Gnosticism like his is built on the argument that Christians like me have hidden the real truth about God, and that they have found - which is why you might find them on, say, a conspiracy board. They exist in opposition to us.

But given we're in this forum now, it might be a better place than GD to ask whether there's any more clarity on the unusual Italian statistics, which have been far worse than everyone else's.

I spent most my life decidely unreligious, disbelieving in god and jesus, and all religions.

Despite my LEANINGS to Gnosticism in the last decade, i still dislike religion per se, all of them, and do not bash the bible either.

The topic of jesus is difficult. There are times i sway and times i sway away, but more likely swaying of late. Always wanting to believe as a base.

But this topic of jesus/revelations is pertinent to the current climate.

It was not about bible bashing though. Guy made a point about not trusting humans and another bloke went all ranting about religious dislike.

Oh for sure, it was the biggest pwn reply ive ever seen, on any topic. Nothing againt the recipient (lebbo), i love him too, always loved him.

OK, so yesterday I posted that the hospital my niece works at they have 35 cases. Just checked the numbers on here, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/australia/, and there are only two current cases that are listed as serious or critical in the whole of Australia, the rest are listed as mild. Does not compute.

Gnosticism doesn't have a problem with the person of Christ or his teachings….It's just all that super-natural shite transplanted into the Gospels, they can have no truck with.

Gnosticism is closer to the mark of the true person of Jesus, rather than all the hysterical & hyperbolic nonsense associated with what came to be the accepted Canonical scripture.

Don't anyone misinterpret what Jesus is. Whether or not he was a real person is irrelevant. In some way we ARE all Jesus because we are all children of God. He is in all of us if we want him to be. Do you think your dad cares if you jack off, or have sex before marriage, or are gay? No because he's your dad. He just wants you to be happy and treat others with respect and God is the same. Jesus gives strength because we know if we let him into our heart, God will always have our back no matter what.

I've gone from full-time healthy wage + bonuses to Part time with no bonuses . Will be surprised if the company stays open after this in all honesty.

Ah well - off to live on the farm with Dad. At least the air is clean.

I heard the govt will subsidize snall businesses thruout the lockdown so employees are still paid their wages. I do worry my boss would pocket the subsidy and fire people to avoid paying them. Maybe shenanigans at your end?

Gnosticism is merely the belief in higher spiritual truths, only graspable to those prepared to pay the price in attaining a transcendent perspective....Which takes real application of our entire being.

Life itself is miracle enough....There's no need to go inventing false superstitious stories to try & promote your guru above another...a wise man is a wise man.

The Koran is valuable as it entails insights & truths applicable to the human condition....Ditto the Old & New Testaments.

People are realising in Australia, that just like there was no money set aside by the government for the victims of the bushfires, they're realising that there's very little actual money set aside for their stimulus package.

One of my customers today, all "keep your distance, no touching, im serious" etc. We talked about covid19, me saying its probably all bullshit. She says, no its real, my son came down with a fever and we took him to hospital to get tested for it, gotta wait 48hrs for result...ended up negative, but that hospital we saw two young men in their 20s or 30s who were tested positive, they were in serious condition, barely able to breathe even with the respirator.

So she wasnt buying that its all a conspiracy, she thinks its real and a real danger, probably China as an act of terror basically, bioweapon.

I think there are some genuinely sick people. How they got sick, why they are sick, what sickness they actually have, how serious the sickness is, and how many actually are sick - those are the questions.

I'm certainly not just accepting wholesale everything we are fed by the government.
