Why isn't Cory getting a game.....? He always looks impressive at training and seems to be a reasonable talent.....surely he would be more value in our side than Hulme -

1. He can kick.
2. He can run

That already makes him twice as good as Hulmie........ :p

I know Hulme goes hard and is a good in and under but I just think we need a bit more run and skill in the side at the moment.

Interested in others opinions on this. Especially if you have some inside info!!

I agree totally, i was at the north game where hulmes two kicks resulted in direct turnovers and goals. He has heart, but skills worse than me ... and thats saying something. Mcgrath played in both finals for essendon, he played okay with the limited time he had in teh wizard cup vs sydney. I am baffled as to why he's been overlooked, i think he would add a lot of grunt into the midfield and i think he has a bit of pace.

Pls can ne one inform me as to why he has been overlooked so far this year???

As an Essendon supporter I am also surprised he is not getting a game. I reckon that whilst not being a star he is pretty hard at the ball and quite creative. He was starved of opportunity at Essendon and regularily blitzed in the twos.
If given a chance he will be a good player.

I believe this boy can play as well and probably should have been given a chance before now. It must be hard for the selectors to undestand how to incorporate the new centre players and the small brigade into a balanced team line-up, especailly when our team plays erractically.

Its my opinion that he probably suffers from the the prodigal son syndrome, the player that everyone thinks can handle the disappointment, the wait and the resentment of being overlooked week after week while the selectors have a good look at the Kennas, Clarkes, Hartfords(???) etc.

It wont be long before he is on the park, just hope he can keep his resolve.

The answer is simple - because he is an Elmer Fudd. Unless he magically transforms himself into something special, I can't see him being at the club past the length of this current contract.
way too harsh and a stupid comment to boot

I'd like to see him get a go purely for the fact that our last couple of running positions are up for grabs. We are rotating Davies, Wiggins, Hulme, Harford, Kenna, Clarke in and out of the side but McGrath hasn't got a look in. I'll give you the tip, none of the above are going to be stars so we might as well try everyone out. Apologies to Davies who has a touch more talent and potential than the others.

May be harsh Chemical but it's true, we have way too many players of the same ilk on the books and he isn't at the top of the list.

I really believe that he will struggle to make it unless there is a purge on running players at the end of the season.

Happy to be wrong on this but I guess time will tell.

i think he could become a potent goalsneak. hes better than bloody morrell at least :p

listening to kouta on wtf tonight i found it interesting when he said corey wasn't all carlton had hoped for. this is confusing cos the only time we've seen him play was for about 5 mins against sydney in wizard cup. since then he's been bog for bullants for quite a few weeks. im not really sure what he meant??

did he mean the blokes crap?? then why did he get a game at the bombers??

or was he meaning he was unfit like rickey mott?? which would seem strange??

can someone please enlighten me.. cheers

From what i can gather his form for the bullants hasn't been good enough. He's had a couple of good games but hasn't been consistantly good enough to warrent seniors selection.

He's a goal sneak - they have up and down form.

Every other new bloke bar Mott has gotten a game - that has to play on your mind.

I feel sorry for the bloke. But we should play him this week... what better chance do we have? We're not going to win and we need all the pace we can get.
