100% improvement, but you had to query his form/fitness in the first couple of games. Glad he showed his doubters that he's not a spent force :thumbsu:

It's not the people questioning his form/fitness i have a problem with, its the ones who said he was gone.

A bit early to write him off, just as it was too early for some who said the Tiges were finished. Mind you, it wasn't a great game, but there are plenty of teams playing just as bad in this comp and any game virtually is winnable.
I'm not writing off anyone yet.

True, it wasn't a great game, but you'd expect that win will do wonders for their confidence.

Its just similar to questioning Sugar's leadership. If what he did tonight in the face on an oncoming train in Brown in full flight wasnt enough to make you follow him into battle, nothing will be! Saw it coming and didnt flinch a muscle...sheer GnD..doin the No 17 proud.

Played well tonight, very happy. Lets hope he keeps it up. Our confidence is up which will be good for the coming weeks.

Agree. He played well 2night no questions asked. However most if not all would of worried about his fitness over the last few weeks before 2nights game. Keep up the hard work cogs.

i said it earlier that he did in fact have a delayed start to his pre seaon campaign so prob coming into full fitness now....Great return to form from COGs and nothing less than we expect from one of our best players

No full pre season which meant he was going to take longer than the rest to find form.

Great game Coughlan :thumbsu:

"lets trade him"
"do you think his carrer is over?"

Fickle idiots. Solid game by Cogs.

It would be fickle if those of us who criticised him started to heap praise on him after his first really good game in quite a while.

I for one have thought that his disposal is not up to the standard of a top line AFL midfielder, that he is at best described as solid and has trade value.

In a 'poor season' he got 20 touches in both Round 2 & 3 + BOG or there abouts last night.

He has brillant hands. Handball for a inside midifelder is quite an important abilty I would have thought.

Very important part of our club.

More so if we want to be decent 3 or so years from now.

I don't understand how people can criticise Cogs but not Tuck. They are very similar and have the same role at our club in the midfield. Both are guns and are very important to our side

We wouldn't be Richmond if we didn't have someone to bag.:D

good players do it week in week out,as do good sides....while its been a good week for cogs and club lets not pump them up like they won a flag and a brownlow......they beat brisbane in brisbane which is good but its not as good if we had done it 3-4 years ago...least its a start and hope we build on it

FFS look at his stats last season. He was top line every game week in, week out. If not for having to play almost the entire game in the guts due to the club having so few good players and his first season back he wouldn't have fallen away towards the end.

He is the best player in the league but a very good inside midfeilder. As is Tuck.

Alot worse running around in the yellow and black.

LOL, copy that TT, but i am a hard marker, to do the No 17 proud totally?
Brown would have been stretchered off from the hit. ;)

Coughlan is an elite midfielder, never said he wasn't and I would love for him to contnue playing at punt road.
But the questions on his OP and wether he will truly get over his injuries is another question.
Looks like we did well off loading Ottens.

i have said it before and I will say it again, his kicking might look ungainly and floaty, but you can count on him hitting the target that is the appropriate target at that moment. Just go and ask Richo how many times he takes a mark after Cogs has delivered the floater into the space in front of him. Then ask RIcho how many times the ball bounces off his chest, when the ball is being rifled at him as he is bolting towards it, at a 100mph ;)
