My gf is a eagles fan and told me today after Judd and Cousins her 2 fav players not being there anymore she is sick of the eagles and there continuing dramas!

She told me today she might change teams and go for the blues!!!!!

Good on her but is unlikely we will get a mass exodus of WCE supporters jumping onto the Blue bandwagon because of this. But they are more than welcome if they want to jump ship if they have had a reality check. Most supporters follow the team rather than a player or two though.

We will be getting a fair few new members following Judd though. How many? who knows.

Thankfully for us, Judd has defected at a perfect time, amid massive turmoil at subiaco. I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few of their members handed in their cards, and decided to follow someone else.

To be honest I wouldn't want any supporter who has jumped ship coming to Carlton.
IMO it doesn't matter what turmoil your club is going through you stick with them. You ride out the storm and suffer the pain.
True supporters don't turn their allegiance to another club.
When you support a club you do so with all your heart and soul. Sometimes it might be painful, but that's all part of it.
Anyone who jumps ship to another club isn't a true supporter and doesn't have their heart in it. I don't want those type at Carlton.

My best friend, long-time filth supporter has said she is sick of eddie fatguire and the evil empire that is collingwood and also sick of their efforts come finals time and the players themselves (show pony dale got a few mentions).... she also kept referring to carlton being on the brink of something good..... and then she managed to slip in that she loves marc murphy and thinks chris judd looks "really good in a carlton guernsey" I think we have a converter on our hands. I agree with you Bee i've stuck to my team through the light and dark but then again its collingwood and who could blame her

she sounds like a nice loyal supporter those are the ones called bandwagons, that hunt for the team on top of the ladder. when they are up there they are telling everyone how good they are , when they bottom out they go missing.

i could never imagine barracking for another side other than the pies, carltons the only other side i take a keen interest in , with how they go etc and i love watching them play. being bought up with 3 blues supporters in the household. but id never trade my pies membership for a blues one.

Bee I know what you are saying but..
A lot of people in WA changed to Eagles or Dockers to follow the local teams once thet arrived due to patriotism or some garbage.Many of these have already returned to their original sides they followed as kids once they realised the errors of their ways.Some may have been fans for generations before.
I for one never changed however am working on family and friends to return to the fold!I think we should welcome them back
