Top 7:
Cousins - 303
Judd - 269
Fletch - 257
Kerr - 248
Embley - 235
Gardiner - 233
Matera - 228

others in the top 10 were:
Braun
Jones
Wirrapunda

Best Clubman: Michael Braun(thought it would be wirra)
Rookie of the year: Ashley Sampi(rightly so)

Congrats to Cuz....3 in a row now. What a champ. A few players were hurt by missing games but you could say that Cuz missed games whilst playing them. He played through that ankle injury in the beginning of the season and was a shadow of his usual self but his presense on the field was needed.

A top effort though, surprised to see Judd finish runner up, I would have said top 5, but not second. Solid again from Kerr and Gardiner with the obvious surprises in Embers and Fletch. Braun's finish indicates his best season in years.

I'm not surprised at all. No one spent more time on the ground for the Eagles this year than Chris Judd. He ran his heart out all year and got due recognition.

But hats off to Ben Cousins, already one of the all-time greats.

Obviously using the Rising Star definition of a rookie this year. Admittedly none of our rookies did enough this year to really deserve an award...

Just where does Cousins stand now in regards to all time great WC Eagles? He has already won more B&F's than any other player barring Jako. He is a runner up in the brownlow, 4 time All Australian, 1 behind Matera's Eagles record of 5 selections if im not mistaken.

All you would think he would need now is to lead this current era to a premiership and you would think he would be crowned the greatest Eagle of them all?

Not if Worsfold's the bloke holding the other handle on the premiership cup, you'd think.

From time to time, we consider who the "greatest Eagle ever" is/was, and everyone has a different answer based on different criteria. It just seems too difficult to work out at the moment when it's all too recent. For mine, I'd like the club to hold off on naming our B&F for another 20-odd years, until we can get some context on the 80's and 90's.

Yeah, it is pretty expensive but I do remember that last year someone (maybe VoR?) went. I was involved in setting it up last year but I wasn't this year. As it wasn't televised I was just curious as to how it all looked. Girl stuff really!

So how did you come to be involved in setting it up last year? Through the club or through your employment?

Yeah, I went last year - it was really good fun.

But I couldn't afford it this year and I didn't get a gig through work. Plus I was still sobering up after the West Perth premiership celebrations.
