I think the decision came from higher up.

As for Ross Lyon's comments any player that improves your side as a playing group takes you a step closer to a premiership regardless of who the player is. Whatever spin you like to put on it that 31 year old drug / ex drug addict is still an effective player who has not been caught in any wrong doings this year and as such he would have improved our side. Neither I or you are ever going to know if that would have been the difference between winning an extra game or 2 and what effect that would have.

Question would you have rather played the saints sunday or Geelong saturday? Would you rather be playing Adelaide this week or Brisbane this week?

I can tell you Geelong and Brisbane and playing St Kilda when there is a chance Pendles is healed is a much better prospect and there where a couple of games we lost by a kick (essendon and adeliade being the stand outs) that had we had even a minor improvement in the side we would have one and finished 3rd giving us a better chance at a flag.

We don't have crystal balls to say exactly what can, would and will happen but with a better side you give yourself a better chance.

So why aren't Richmond playing finals?

Is this supposed to show any insight. Because the rest of there list is a rabble with massive holes all over the ground. Hardly the right comparison to draw.

On this years form Ben Johnson, Wellingham, Sidebottom, J-Mac or Cousin's which one of these has played the best football. The answer is Cousin's by the bass.

So you acknowledge my point is valid.

One player will not make very much difference.
Cousins IMO, would have had an overall net negative effect on the club

If you learn to look at the point being made it might alleviate some of that frustration you obviously have

Richmond have been poor for a decade, they lost there best player from the previous year in Richo there is no way in hell any player could help them.

On the other hand we were percentage off finishing 3rd. Which would have been a better position to be. I am pretty sure 1 player would have made a 1 point difference against Essendon. Or a 1 goal Difference against Adeliade.

Your opinion may be that he would have had a net negative on the club and we can agree to disagree on that point but it's hard to dispute the fact that even a slight improvement on the overall playing group changes the landscape completly.

He would have drastically improved your side. Still a very good player and would be in your top 3.
