Roast Crap Television Coverage

(This topic was touched on in the thread titled "Wow" but I really think it needs to be highlighted a bit more.)



How can the AFL allow the broadcasts of their games to be so poorly executed as we have seen lately.

If I'm going to stay up to 11.30PM watching a delayed telecast of a game surely, surely there couldn't be anything better on TV at that time which would interest the viewer more than actually seeing the post-game on-ground interviews, seeing the winning teams singing their song and a wrap-up of the game.

Channel 7 and Channel 10 you are a pi$$-poor excuse for a broadcasting television network!
(And Foxtel, you're not much better!)

Lets hope this new billion dollar deal is better for the viewers instead of just for lining the AFL's pockets.

Apparently the deal is all 9 games live on Foxtel, Channel 7 with 4 games. I doubt it will be for the viewer. Stupid money.

It all comes down to whether the AFL just go "thanks for the money , see ya later" or they actually put in place a requirement where a comprehensive telecast is given to the viewers, not the shite we have to put up with currently.

Is there ANY footage of the team singing the song in it's entirety, anywhere on either Fox, 7 or 10?

Agree with op. The worst was last week when 7 decided we didn't need to even see the end of the game and cut it off with 3 minutes to go. Could not care less about the viewer..

Apparently that was a technical fault, but still, if the AFL put some kind of penalties in place for being negligent in the broadcast of the game it should in theory reduce the incidences of them occurring.

Maybe they should get the match rule committee onto it!
