I was interstate for a couple of weeks and apparently Perth doesnt exist if you're trying to get news so........

Can someone let me know hoe the whole Crazy John's Stadium affair finished up. I assume it's not happening now because I've heard nothing of it, but was it rejected/ withdrawn/ delayed etc...

Its still a possibility, but a remote possibility I believe. I would hate to see a neon 'crazy johns' sign up at subi.

Seems like the whole Crazy Johns deal has gone quiet - maybe the WAFC knows they can never get the deal without outside signage (which has to be approved by the Subiaco Council).

I don't think the Naming Rights sponsor issue will go away, but I can't see Crazy Johns having their name on Subiaco Oval anymore.

Last I heard, the WAFC is negotiating to get the SCC to soften its stance on naming rights per se, but Crazy John's Stadium is for all intents and purposes a dead dog.

Subject only to state govt intervention, it seems that the SCC holds all the cards as far as exterior signage goes.

Good! The name was ridiuculous! If we could find a sponsor with a decent name then by all means go for it!

I'd like to see Western Power have a shot at it - would be an appropriate name IMO

They need to find a dentist that has the word 'pain' in its business name so we can call it "The House of Pain"
