Cresswell chaired off for last game...

i am making an informed assumption here that cresswell after being chaired off has played his last game and announced his retirement.

i would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him on an outstanding career after being plucked from almost no where. unfortunately for him, he cant finish off in the best possible circumstances. as he joins an ever increasing group of champions who never played in a premiership. again, brillian career to him and wish him well in what he choses to do post-footy.

any chance of him coaching at afl level??

Have to agree about Cresswell. Great career. More determination than actual skill, but had a grand capacity to get where the ball was. Not one of his better games tonight though.

Seems your team ran out of people. Goodes looked stuffed, after a splendid solo effort, especially in the 3rd quarter.

You must be happy with the excellent season you've had. Sorry we had to beat you. Would much rather have played you blokes in the GF, for the sake of an Australia-wide competition.

I'm anticipating this won't be the last time we meet in a final. In the near future, you blokes will win a flag. You are definitely on an 'up'. Your prospects look rosey indeed. Just make sure you keep that coach. A man of impeccable integrity and intelligence, who knows as much about footy and men as Leigh Matthews.

I read an article where he said that he's moving up to Queensland, not too sure whether he'll move into coaching though.


Anyway, congrats Cressa - got a huge heart and is a terrific clubman. Gave his all. One of the greats for this club.

Cressa, thanks for great times - a tough, unfashionable player. Memorable moments - that goal agst Bombers prelim 1996 from 50 out to tie it up, the speccie over Nick Holland and sealing goal also in 1996 qual final, a very good game agst Port this year - reinforcing the fact that great players play great finals. The goal agst the Kangas after the siren was great too.

But overall Cressa, that game against the Cats with the dislocated kneecap typifies the toughness you displayed all your career.

PS..........why didn't you lie your leg down straight?
