Behind the goals...
Other Teams
St Kilda
I'm finding the off season is moving too painfully slowly for me. As a result, have turned some of my attention to watching the Aussies dack whichever international opposition happens to be here this summer. A couple of quandry's comes to mind though.

1. Is Glen McGrath scoring a 50 akin to Max steaming down the ground from Centre Half Back to kick 5 match winning goals?

2. In order to fully understand the Australian Cricket Team, I think there needs to be an equation to members of the St Kilda team.

M Hayden - The G Train... big, powerful, reliable and not to be messed with.

J Langer - A Hamill... On his day quite brilliant. The life and soul of the team, down on form at the moment.

R Ponting - N Reiwoldt... The Leader, undoubtedly the best player in the side. Leads from the front in both games.

D Martyn - N Dal Santo... Categorically the form player, exquisite skills.

D Lehmann - A Jones... Took too long to reach his best, but when there has not dissapointed.

M Clarke - Luke Ball... The kid, the future. Will captain the side. Has taken all before him in embryonic stages of career.

A Gilchrist - L Hayes... Explosive and skillful. Bloody damaging when he gets going. Terrific in a multitude of roles for the side.

S Warne - R Harvey... Absolute Champion of the game. Nuff Said.

M Kasprowicz - B Voss... Dependable workhorse. Never lets the side down.

J Gillespie - J Koschitzke... Injury prone, but at his best the equal of any player going around.

G McGrath - M Hudgton... Getting towards end of career, undoubted champion. Courageous player, wears heart on sleeve.

Interesting to ponder...

Bichel and Thomo as Bichel was always 12th man for a while and tomo always starts on the bench. Yet lets hope tomo doesn't get dropped completely like Bichel
yeah agreed, thommo is has been a quality player for us and sometimes people forget when he captained us for nearly a whole season bar a few games i think it was. and also a game in perth he picked up 40 fantastic possesions. thommo has improved dramatically as he has got older, i wish him all the best for next year, and i really do hope that it is not his last. good luck thommo.
