Thanks, still some finishing touches and will post tomorrow as trying to work out how posters can enter on the crossword which makes it easier.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Pretty good, 6 right. I am glad you seem to be using your recall and not looking up answers.

No. 7 Should have typed AFL Centenary Team of the Century.
No. 6 the answer is not footy related, more political.

Since you are engaging, here is another one for you.

Q. I played 277 games and kicked 323 goals for my VFL club. However, my South Fremantle (WA) club, even before I had played a senior game, was reluctant to clear me to Victoria so I was forced to stand out of football for an entire season. Who am I? (Clue: Collingwood player).

I assumed you meant the AFL team of the century. In terms of the Sth Freo question I'd assume it would be from the 60s, but can't think of they player.

To celebrate the 100th season of the VFL/AFL, the "AFL Team of the Century" was named in 1996. We were not happy at all.

You want the answer or some info? Yes was from the 60's, was one of my favourite players

Was tall for a rover, but was so skilful at reading the play that he became an instant hit with the Magpies. He played with a level of coolness and calm that meant he could handle any situation.

We'll wait and see if someone else can answer the question. I really need to learn more of 60s and 70s history, my learning has focused more on premiership eras so far.
