You people in Sydney sure do stick by your team, don't you! :( I hate to think of people like you if we have a bad season. At least, me being a Victorian I will stick by my team win, lose or draw and won't turn to Thugby.

Dude, he isn't. That's a fact.. not just something i've come up with because i'm from Sydney. Sure, he may play again.. but i don't think he'll get back to anywhere near as good as he was playing in 05.

God some people on here have issues.

You're jumping the gun a bit if you are saying I have issues. You really don't know me. That was a very stupid comment to make. I am sick and tired of Sydney people saying they are loyal supporters when they are not. It's fact that Sydney people loves a winner and you writing off Crouch is prove that Sydney people aren't very loyal.

You are writing off Crouch when you shouldn't be. He is only about 28 or 29, he still have a good couple of years left in him. You shouldn't be giving up on your players. You have a lot to learn about Australian Football.

Yeah, that's rich coming from you.. you do have issues if you are sterotyping people due to which state they live in. I don't have to be loyal to Crouch, if i don't think he's going to do much from now on then i can say that.. it has nothing to do with me only loving the winners. It's called having an opinion, which is the point of being a member on a forum.

I shouldn't be? No, i'm allowed to do whatever i like. If i want to write him off then i shall. It also has absolutely NOTHING to do with me needing to learn about the game.. it's an opinion. Just because i support the Swans doesn't mean my comments need to be 100% about every little thing they do or say.

You will have egg on your face when he comes back. If we had Crouch on Grand Final day last year we would have won the premiership it is that simple, isn't it. That's how much value he is to the club. Don't write off champion players. And I don't have issues because it is fact. Sydney people have jumped off the Swans in the past, hasn't it? Anyways I have better things to do than stay on bigfooty and argue on here so adios!

No, it isn't that simple. If we had him we may have won, we also may have not. The fact is he did get injured, you can't deny that. That injury is going to have some barring on his future whether you like it or not. In the end i love Crouch and i love what he's done for our club but i cannot see him returning and offering anything close to what he once did.

I'm not from Sydney. I've probably seen more losses than you.

Whether I think he will play again or not has nothing to do with supporting the team. Whether I think he's finished or whether I think he'll play again and be great has no impact on what he eventually does.

I think you are strangely confusing my with someone who can affect reality through the power of thought...

What's weird about this is that most of the people writing Crouch off right now isn't doing so on a factual basis e.g. seeing him in training, being privy to his medical reports. We are purely assuming the worse by his age (which isn't THAT old in footy terms - he turns 29 just before the start of the season).

Nothing weird - it's simply a guess based on his extensive history of playing through injuries and the recent toll that has taken.

I'm basing my assumptions on what i think the toll of his injuries will take on him. It's not weird for people to make assumptions..
 
Have to agree with fl1, you guys are doing the same thing as the Pies do to Lockyer and Lonie. It's disgusting. Crouch is one of my favourite players and you stick by your players, through thick and thin. Again, this case is similar to Tarks in the fact that both had major injuries, both will come back and both will play some good footy, and both will cop it from their supporters. I'm sick of this absolute cr@p that the team gives to one player when the team doesnt perform.

I don't agree. You don't have to stick by your players, not if you think they are past it. For instance i won't stick by Ben Mathews..

What a load of garbage riddle with absurd assumptions. I wasn't blaming Crouch for anything. It's simply a view of his prospects. Doesn't mean that you want it to happen or because you think it might happen somehow it will cause it to occur. Do some of you people live in a bizarre fantasy land where you believe your thoughts can actually make things happen!! Actually - I see now you are 14 - that explains everything!

The fact is none of us here are being 'bad supporters' by saying we think Crouch is past it. If he comes back and plays some great footy then more power to him, but it's only us stating our opinions. I'm sure everyone on this board loves Crouch and what he's given to the club but that doesn't mean we can't be a little realistic and say things that other supporters don't like hearing.. like that he is past it.
