Not really as even though both players played for years with the PAFC D Smith & S Hodges never really played an AFL game for the Port Power although i think Hodges was on their list for a few months.

Footballers expect this to happen, it's been happening for years at every club. Fiora at Richmond and the Saints, Lonie at Hawks and Port, Perrie at the Crows, Connell at the Crows etc etc. It's a fact of life at every club.

Darren Smith was the biggest blouse I have ever seen at AFL level. For someone of his size to be such a squib was unbelievable. That said, when he played for the Magpies, he was an excellent player and regularly showed great courage.....go figure.

I have never heard Lonie being booed by Port Supporters, or any other Port player for that matter and I have never missed a home game.

It might happen at your club and Richmond, but I struggle to find it happening at other clubs.
