Are you just making this up?Nothing is worse than threatening to end someone's life.
Presumably ending someone's life is (amongst a whole range of other crimes). The issue with the Rioli incident will forever be that the AFL put threats of death below racism and homophobia.
Its insane when you think about it. Nothing is worse than threatening to end someone's life.

Remember that idiot, and then Jason Cloke in 2002 and Anthony Rocca in 2003. No leniency shown in either case.Does anyone else recall the marvellous Phil Carman missing the 77 GF (which was drawn) due to taking a swipe at Michael Tuck, of all people.
Bang, gone, no questions, no explanations, move on.
The is zero chance in hell the AFL will suspend Rankine.
The crows will throw all silk at the matter and fight it all the way.
Quaynor will not give evidence and the audio will be argued that it was maggot.
Rankine will be schooled and briefed beforehand to say he said maggot but was told he said something else.
He apologised and proactively showed remorse. It will ultimately unable to be proven what was said.
Bailey Dale, I wish to end your life, immediately! Are you just making this up?
Was a veiled threat from memory, bit of "You don't want to run into my cousins!!!" I think?
Not "I am going to murder you Bailey Dale"

I'm bi and living with a guy and yes, I do.
Not for me, Im older and over this shit. I mean, its ing tiring and every time this comes up, and by the way, it has an extraordinary number of times this year, I have to deal with the sort of shit you have been spouting in this thread, which to be honest is more annoying than the actual homophobic crap sprouted by Rankine. The number of dipshits who cant grasp this is not ok does my head in, but then, I get it. I cope with it enough in life. From casual homophobic shit like this to threats of violence to my car being keyed with the word "**", I get to practice my resilience quite often dealing with folks like you.
Ive been made to feel like im not welcome for who I am enough times in my life, including on here. It doesnt faze me. But I know what it would have felt like to 15 year old me, lost alone and frightened in foster care, wanting to play footy as one of the few places I could feel home, and being made to feel from shit like this that nope, you dont belong. For the equivalent of that kid right now, you damn well better believe I want an unequivocal statement this is not ok.

It's because people make everything about race , gender and sexual preferences dividing everyone rather than harmonising everyone as just people .Lmao, I mean the fact that no player in the history of the game has felt comfortable to come out of the closet probably indicates people DO care who you have sex with. And the fact Aboriginal players continuously cop racist abuse online and from the crowd also indicates people care what colour their skin is.
How does it effect you one iota that there is a pride theme round? They still play the same amount of games, there's just a rainbow around a bit. Who gives a shit? If you don't like it just ignore it.
I understand your anger but lusting for revenge against a player who made an innocent mistake not directed at an actual member of the gay community isnt the answer. Education is a better path than making someone potentially miss playing in a premiership
That you seem to think that taking serious steps towards stamping out racist and homophobic abuse on field in Australia's most watched and attended game has anything at all to do with 'elitism' or 'virtue signalling' shows just how much further there is to go.Do gay people even really care or want Rankine suspended? Or is this another example of a small group of elites at AFL house choosing to be offended on behalf of another group to virtue signal how evolved and superior they are.
As a Crows fan from the beginning….
if indeed the slur was used and the player admits it,
I’d suggest that he gets given the rest of the season on the sidelines.
I’m sure I’ll get backlash from fans of my team but if it takes a star of the game to teach the future players that it’s unacceptable then so be it.
I didn’t condone what Tex did and I won’t with this.
We need to be better.
Perfectly said.Izak said something terrible and hurtful. AFL players have been warned and educated about this countless times. No player could plead ignorance, and his intent is not relevant. He should receive a hefty punishment which means he’ll likely miss the finals, and so be it. If he is truly remorseful then he will accept that, be upset about it, but ultimately learn from it and come back hopefully a better person for it.
That should be the end of it. All this tribal bullshit of some Crows fans trying to defend and deflect, while other clubs fans try to pretend that their club is perfect and this is only an issue at Adelaide, stands in the way of any actual progress.
Maybe, if players finally got it in to their heads that this shit is not okay anymore, the league might become just a bit more welcoming for gay players.

Don't try reposition what you said post facto.
