I wonder how many extra will show up to see Cuz? I know we are 1 win and 5 losses, but this is kind of an exciting time to see how we go without Richo. Our last 2 weeks have been pretty good. We really should have played Hughes instead of Simmo imo. I don't think Hughes was allowed to play because he had to play Coburg seniors before getting a game. But we honestly should have played him seniors last week considering they have the bye this week. I think there's still hope for 35,000 tomorrow and I haven't given up on finals either :thumbsu:

I love reading your posts MT.
When the world is falling apart it is nice to read some passionate positives from a real Tigers "supporter"
Far more enjoyable to read than the fatalistic posts of some we have here!!!

:thumbsu: If we had 5 wins, we'd get 50,000 tomorrow

I've just got out my whizz-bang calculator (again) and done the arithmatic for the crowd tomorrow.

Total: 33,674.

Give or take a hundred...... :)

Might scrape over 30k if its not raining. Last 3 years we've only got over 30k once playing them and that was last year. My tip is 28.5k
Yep, that's pretty much on the money RT.

Yeah but they were at telstra. We get 10,000 less there
Our best crowd against them at the G was in 01 when we were flying and even then we only got 31k to the match. Would not be holding out hope of a 35k+ crowd tomorrow.

less than 30k.
Lions have their share of support here from the Fitzroy days, but I reckon between 25 and 30k.

low to mid 20s.....tops.
No Richo, coupled with shit weather, will make alot seek other forms of entertainment. The cuz factor has become a non factor as well. ;)

They will get 30k+ for a few reasons...

  • I know it's an understatement but this is a must win game for the tigers...It's a long shot but as Wallace said, Finals is not out of the question...JUST...out of our last 11 games, 9 are in Melbourne...But the Tiges must win tomorrow...
  • Cousins Return..Say No More
  • Can the team cope without Richo, and who is the future of the Richmond Forward Line
  • The Fitzroy supporters always give a strong turnout..

Most of the bandwagoners have jumped off already. Only ones that will show tomorrow are the life long loyal types.

Cousin Return..Say No More
The Cousins factor has worn off, we've seen him play his first game.

Can the team cope without Richo, and who is the future of the Richmond Forward Line
What future forward line, Morton was dropped, Schulz and Hughes aren't playing and we brought in 3 times 30+ as replacements.

The Fitzroy supporters always give a strong turnout..
We've only got over 31k against Brisbane twice in the last 6 games in Melbourne, despite playing 3 of them at the Dome under the roof.

The cousins "factor" may have worn off, but i would like to see him rack up the possies, and be a factor for brisbane to deal with.

I agree that we need Morton, and Hughes looks a shining light, but i do not rate Schulz, he has had to many chances and has only stepped up in VFL or NAB Cup/Challenge...The only thing he has going for him is his age (only just)...And Riewoldt usually steps up to the occasion when Richo isn't playing...

I'm expecting around 35K but a number of posters here have their reservations about such an ambitious figure..

Anyway, I reckon the Cuz factor hasnt worn off yet and we still could attract a 35K+ crowd.

Forecast for Saturday
Cloudy. Patchy drizzle, mainly morning and evening. Winds south to southwesterly averaging up to 30 km/h.

CityDrizzle.Min12Max17

= 24 128 IMO

Not so much the drizzle but the cold southerly will keep the weak pricks at home.

I was expecting 32k. I don't remember the last time we played Brisbane at the g and the last few at the dome have got around 25 - 30 if I remember correct. I hate the dome (still go when we play) but we always get less there.

Remember we have sold a lot more ticketeds than ever before. That plus Cousins plus us being in Sydney last week so no game for most should see us scrape up to 30,000.
