There's all sorts of valid & different reasons as to why people didnt attend, however, that does not and should not hide away the fact that it was a piss weak attendance.

There are supposedly 1000s of Crows fans out there (given this was a final so anybody could buy a ticket) and if they were even slightly serious supporters , then the shortfall to cover the valid non-attendees should have more than been made up and a capacity crowd ensued.

This applies to Port crowds as well.

IMO there is a real problem with crowds in SA for both AFL clubs and i can see it getting worse.

I never said anything about size, I was refering to atmosphere, could have 80K there if its like church you might aswell have 10 people.

I mean lets be honest VIC has been sucking the life out of SA for years and rightly so, aside from the AFC what else has Adelaide got going for it??? Ohh wait yeah Tour Down Under I forgot.

I gather you weren't at the game then macca? I'd have to say it was one of the loudest crowds I've been at all year, if not the loudest.

Agreed, second quarter in particular was going off. Much, much, much louder than any minor round game this year even though there were 5,000 less. Good crowd, good atmosphere. If you weren't there then you are in no position to comment.
Atmosphere at the Prelim a couple of years ago against Eagles was bigger (as you'd expect for a prelim).
Best atmosphere ever at any Crows game I've been to was the Showdown Final slaughter against the Power in 2005 I think. Screaming and cheering from the first bounce to the final siren; goals galore against them is never tiring.

I was there (mixed marriage) and yes one of the loudest crowds all year and not only as per usual when crows kick goals. This crowd yelled their lungs out after pie goals to get their team going. Well done the supporters who attended.

The Collingwood v Adelaide 1993 Final was an incredible atmosphere, where we somehow got 48,500 into a ground that only had capacity for 45,000, and it was the loudest crowd at Footy Park of all time.

it wasn't a final, it was the last game of the season. and yes, I remember it well.

No the Crowd was rubbish again on the weekend.

Its cheer when a goal is kicked. Boo when the umpire does a free against and boo when Medhurst touches the pill (guilty).

The half hearted attempts at 'Adelaide clap clap clap' was plain embarrassing.

BTW> What the **** was with the 'GO PIES' flashing all the time. I want Footy Park to be as hostile as possible. None of this go pies bullshit.

You're wrong from where I sat. What you describe above is the usual Crows crowd. Only cheer when the Crows kick a goal. The crowd against Collingwood was way different. Tried its hardest to get its team going when losing. Good on the crowd that was there.

Secondly finals are neutral despite home grounds so the go pies on the superscreen.
