Re: Experience at crown.

We also had a new player to cash games. This guy had the whole table in hysterics. I'm not sure if he was a bit short of braincells or not but it was damn funny to watch. When he hit trips at one point he stood and screamed "YES!!!" Betting was still going...

No doubt related to Japanese chick me and Armwarmer played with a few weeks back. She calls down the whole way, hits her set on the river and from memory, pumps her fist, or claps or something like that. Then comes out betting!

Re: Experience at crown.

Bad luck mate, good effort, look forward to hearing about your day.

Tournies suck.

Re: Experience at crown.

Argggh I'm still pissed off with myself last night. In the SB with pocket 4's and it limps round to me. I call but the BB raises to 20, 3 other people called and I always always call in this situation but I had been card dead for the last 2 hours and folded because I was despondent.

The flop came down A-2-4 and BB bet 75 and got 1 caller. Turn is a 5, BB bets 100 and other pushes back for 200. BB calls with another 200 behind him. I had $350 at this stage.

Winner showed down A-2 :(:(

Re: Experience at crown.

Just tell yourself he had A-3 for the wheel.

I folded 44 pre-flop recently and would have flopped a set. I just had this sense that I'd get into trouble. There was some weird action pre-flop and I just let it go. If you remember my big pot from a couple weeks back (~$1200), pocket 4s cost one guy about $400 :).

AQ pre-flop raiser v Asian's 44 v my QQ. Flop: Q84r, we got it all in right there :thumbsu:.

PS; Happy Birthday for yesterday.

Re: Experience at crown.

Yeah it would have been my first $1000 pot. Still kinda annoyed but good to get a win on my birthday.

I might play some 1-2 today. Just got given $100 which I never thought was coming back to me. I am starting to put all my poker money in the pokerpro account and keeping it away from my wife :)

Re: Experience at crown.

Yeah, build that roll for a mistress :thumbsu:

I was thinking I might give the "new and improved" (LOL) 1/2 a go, just once, to see what it's like.

I'd hate to make a habit out of it though.

Re: Experience at crown.

Details for the 2008 Victorian Poker Championships have been released.

http://www.crownpoker.com.au/TournamentDetail.aspx?T=26

Between now and then I'm hoping to play some Stud and Razz online in preparation for a couple small $100 events at the Vic Champs.

There's a $550 Teams Event if anyone was interested in partnering up.

Re: Experience at crown.

yeah, shit happens, i thought i played it fine, but not until the river did i put him on the nut flush draw. i need to work harder at hand reading.

I don't think the best player on the planet could reliably make that read. Maybe you can put him on a flush draw, but it's impossible to pin down whether it is A high or not.

Re: Experience at crown.

This thread's 2 year life has been long enough. It's way too big now so a new one is being created.
