Brokered a great deal fro McLean :D
They got the exact deal they were asking for. You might also want to check the Warnock deal (apparently he would go to the PSD if we didn't offer more than a 2nd rounder), the Fevola deal (Carlton will never get adequate compensation :o) and of course the Judd deal (it's picks 1 and 3 or no deal :o, Richmond in the box seat :o)

You accused Tanks_Alot of only reading it on BigFooty, well it's been publicly stated in the media and neither Rendall or anyone else from the Crows have to come out and said otherwise.

He will only need one training session amongst that bunch of hacks you mentioned to WIN the spot.

silence does not mean anything......, lets work on facts

yes, we are targeting Jacobs
yes, there is a opportunity to lead the ruck division
yes, he has been offered a 3 year deal
no, he wont be gifted the role

NC has a very very strong selection policy and it is based on doing the work, Taylor Walker is an example of this.......

no matter how much we were screaming for a forward and no matter how much potential Taylor Walker has he has not been gifted selection

I have every confidence in Sauce and he potential all I am saying is that the crows would not have gifted him the #1 role

I know my club

In terms of our ruck stocks, I think your being a bit Harsh

Maric, I believe that he could be like Jarmar and have a breakout year in 2011

SMACK McKernan, started showing some very good signs as a ruck / forward late in the year in the sanfl.

Could the Crows end up being our 2010 version of Vossy? i.e a low care-factor regional club getting all excited about the media attention they're getting trading with a great club like Carlton, and losing focus. Surely we couldn't be that lucky 2 years in a row?

:)

Sorry TSR, but your ruck stocks are shit and under sized. Have a look at big games and what a difference a dominant ruckman can have. Your club will not settle for that disadvantage again next year.

You are wasting your time saying Sauce will have to work for his spot, have a look at the improvements he's made to his game since starting off on the rookie list. He will have worked his way into your number one ruck spot by his first training session.

The chance of Jacob's staying is an interesting one. The Warnock/Jacobs ruck combo was great in the finals, and Kruezer will need to stay out of the ruck for a bit post knee reco - probably KP forward. It's not a bad outcome.

Having said that, Jacobs would improve the crows massively because their ruck stocks are poor, and they're having to rebuild their midfield after the retirement of a heap of veterans. Having a quality ruck is a good way to fast-track midfield development. Can imagine there'll be huge amount of debate at the crows over the weekend as to whether to use pick 14 in a weak draft, or let him slip back to the Blues or Saints or elsewhere. Suspect Port are waiting on the sidelines as well, waiting to see if the trade to the crows falls through. Going to be a fun trade week.

:)

We did not get smashed in the ruck every week.

That's just a blatant lie.

Lots of posters are saying that with Grigg going maybe Walker will stay. I think we really need to trade Walker out this year. The main reason is because he is contracted and thus we can get a little more for him. If he stays this year and after next season he decides to leave then we have little bargaining power as he could walk into the PSD or be picked up by GWS.
Lets face it he may or not be in our best 22 (alot of posters are still undecided on that) and he has no position locked down because he hasn't played any good consistant footbal in any 1 position. I think whilst we still have some bargaining power, with him still being contracted, we need to move him on

Big problem is Kruezer is far from a proven fwd. I suspect we will end up playing Warnock and K in ruck so absolutely no point keeping both Jacobs and Hammer

Agreed.

Is the void between your ears?

Nothing gets through.

Please come back when you have even the smallest notion of a clue regarding list management.

Griffen...Gone.
McKernan...Tweener.
Sellar...Tweener & spud we don't want.
Moran...Spud.
Tippett...Your best tall forward.

You have a clear vacancy for a number one ruckman who isn't a slightly smaller ruck like Maric.

Jacobs tap work is very good.

Clearly your understanding of list management is pretty awesome when you have a team built around three small forwards, an undersized backline and a pick 11 midfielder who can't get the ball.

LOL.

How about you stop trolling our board & get back to your own board.

Your rucks were shit, are shit and will be even worse when griffin leaves. It is a liability that your club has an opportunity to fix but will cost them games if it is not fixed.

Not at all. We were doing well with Moran and Maric.

Your desperation to overinflate the situation is almost cute.

The situation is that your rucks are shit and undersized so your club has committed to Sam Jacobs. Not much more to it really.

StarchamberingTheVoid.

Jamison kept Tippett and Jack Riewoldt to a total of four goals in three games in 2010.

What can you expect from a supporter base who has a hard on for Clangerfield?

If Adelaide are dead serious at having jacobs on there list next year they may have to pay a bit more than what they intended. Mark Seaby would be good example for the Jacobs ttrade. He was behind Dean cox and the first year Naitaanui. He hasn't shown anything amazing at AFL level while Jacobs is starting to show promise and gain coinfence. West Coast got pick 22 for him. I reckon Jacobs is worth more as he is younger than what Seaby was. But pick 14 is probably to much. We should throw something esle in possibly a 2nd rounder?? Pick 14 would be nice

This list got Carlton into the finals, remind us how you went! for some reason you are indicating that your incredibly young list will be competing in the finals next year. Craig and Rendell are well aware of the lack of experience hence Walker and you have major deficiencies in the Ruck and with a SA boy wanting to come home as well.Your recruiters will give up 14.

To understand where your rucks are...understand their trade value...next to nothing. No one would want any of Maric, Moran or Griffin.

Pick 35+ for any of them. That alone tells you your rucks are shit because normally they do guarantee an overinflated price....but yours dont!

Not one of them has any further upside in the AFL.
