As I said, we have a winning culture down here at Geelong, which Steve is an integral part of. Unlike that losing culture at Alberton, we look to the future at our club and not to the past.

If he is hanging around the airport just to heckle opposition players he needs to get a life. If I were to abuse a Port Player I would not be picking the biggest (or angriest) in the team, I would pick someone who is a soft fairy like K Cornes, Cassisi, Pearce or Tredders. At least I know i could take each of them on (maybe even 2 at a time on a good day)

I don't think you'll find too many Crows supporters (rational ones anyway) supporting Dale Mortimer's actions. Whilst it's temppting to say he got what he deserved, Brogan should also have showed a lot more restraint. After all why would any high profile person care what this git had to say. In many ways, what Mortimer said to him was actually a backhanded compliment ie: you're a good player you should be playing for us.

Brogan clearly has anger management issues and Mortimer clearly has issues of his own. I think the fine was fair, but the weasel Mortimer should also be forced to undergo counselling for anti-social behaviour.

Rory certainly knows how to thorw a hissy fit, he is trying to get me banned from the Port board for making a legitiate contribution. geez some higly intelligent discussion in this thread, almost makes me want to go back and read newspapers. For the record Brogan should not have done what he did. The law of the land states that you can't assault people unless in self defence. while this does not always seem fair there is good reason for it. ALthough the fine was fairly light he does have a conviction recorded against him which is significant. Light penalties are the norm in the courts these days and i don't think that Brogan got any special treatment for being an AFL player.

As for this Mortimor, you seriously have to wonder about the type of person that has nothing better to do but go and taunt AFL players at the airport. It is bad enough that players have to put up with abuse at the games, they shouldn't have to outside the stadium.

As for the Geelong supporter that thinks the cats have a winning culture. DOn't make me laugh. In my lifetime i see have seen Port Power win 1 premiership, Geelong - 0 premierships. Geelong is not seen as a winning organisation by anyway other than Geelong supporters
