I actually think no one knows fu** about fu** in this market and anyone who thinks they do, knows even less fu**s about it than you or I.

PS. Stop buying ICP.
we are on the verge of a full blown euro war, inflation is thru the roof and oil is an insane price. Its pretty safe to say what way we are going....

Man it’s hard to work out my next trade. Longs are longs sit and forget.

But I’ve got big money to move. On the sidelines waiting. Patience. I’ve got this feeling the big crash will come within months.

Edit meanwhile he next four weeks bitcoin goes to 120k lol

Agree with the second sentence, but disagree with the first. It's far beyond my level of trading, but some have a decent idea where the market is heading.

I've completely gone down the crypto rabbit hole and listen to so many great podcasts. I have a whole heap that I struggle to keep up with but find time because I genuinely love them. Often the hosts and guests are people with whom I disagree ideologically but are mostly more informed than me. And I've enjoyed having a different perspective on decentralised finance and on the role of central banks and whether they are generally a positive or negative for society.

However, I rolled my eyes and laughed at many of these podcasts over the last few weeks with their support for the Canadian truckers. Rational, educated people comparing the Canadian trucker situation and Justin Trudeau to myriad international tyrants over the decades. Framing Bitcoin as decentralised, incorruptible, etc. And what an affront it is that a government or an institution can withhold or freeze bank accounts and assets.

As I have listened to these people frame the situation, in my head I am yelling at them asking if it would be OK to freeze people's accounts for various proceeds of crime? Should a meth dealer in jail be able to use Bitcoin unencumbered? A pedophile on the dark web? A business person who has defrauded their investors? What about Putin?

The most frustrating element of the entire discussion is that it is generally posited without nuance or context. It's just simple - people shouldn't have their money confiscated; irrespective of actions. I guess they'd be happy with Putin funding an entire war against the liberal world order using solely Bitcoin?

Bank accounts are susceptible to government intervention, which is the primary reason that bitcoin is necessary. That's my political view.

Bitcoin is unconfiscatable. I see that as a positive, as do many others. If you don't like it, it's your right to buy/sell centralised shitcoins. Governments can shut them down far more readily which seems more in tune with your political views. I'm merely stating that as a fact rather than a criticism btw.

Yeah totally. And while I disagree, it's not an unreasonable position for the average citizen.

But, surely there is a point where you say there's gotta be some form of authority to stop bad actors? More stating rhetorically than expecting a response. I just find it mind boggling that certain people can't exercise nuance with their politics.

The thought that drives my opinion is how much control I'm willing to cede to the state. In this case, I see more value in decentralised finance than government control over it.

Naturally that opens the system up to abuse from bad actors. How is that different to anything else? Pedophiles breathe air just like the rest of us, and I don't want my air intake regulated. Our judicial system can still punish criminals without confiscating their bitcoin.

There's no means of banning bitcoin anyway. What are you proposing?

Ceding some sort of control to the state is the same thing as saying "I don't want the state to collect my rubbish" or "I don't want police to be able to breath test me". I know I'm being hyperbolic, but isn't that the same way you're framing it? "I don't want my air intake regulated" (I know you're only being facetious).

I understand that people don't like government intervention. I really do. And I understand the idea that if I went to the bank on Monday and I was only able to withdraw $100 because of a geopolitical situation it wouldn't sit right with me. But...

Surely, there has to be someone to police bad actors? That's simply my position.

But we disagree, so that's fine :)

Someone should tell Luna.

I don't buy into the noise. My bags have been increasing more over the last month than the previous 6.

Full blown euro war? Sounds like fear... I'll buy whatever you're selling (as long as it's not ADA, or ICP).

Once you start staking and earning good yield from your crypto, bearish times just don't hit as hard. I have no plans to sell anything this year as I've locked my principal for 12 months staking anyway (but I do still check price a few times a day, old habits die hard haha). I'm hopeful that I can flip one or two of my Edenhorde NFTs later in the year for a decent profit and keep the remaining long term.
