Cant confirm but there isn't anyone else worth pick 2 so it will most likely definitely be him.. unless McLaren is still available then. Collingwood will go for the best available player, no matter the position.
 
I'd prefer Spaanderman, Siegert, Armstrong or Lappin before Cupido. He might have some ability but he definitely doesn't have much upstairs, which is just as important to being a successful player.
 
I have known him since he was little and he has always been the same, he has all the talent in the world(and knows it) but is lazy and not prepared to be disciplined and do the hard hards.

Would be worth picking up, but we would be taking a punt.

As for Cupes, I'd rather punt on a misused youngster like Daniel Gilmore or Steven Armstrong...
 
yeah armstrong or ex docker freo, has been good to us.
 
I would rather take Armstrong. Young, fast and has good skills. Worth a risk on especially with whats left on offer.

Personally I think we take too few risks with player personalities and far too many risks with skill deficiencies. We have it all arse about and it is because Matlhouse has this notion that you need a list full of blokes that sponsor starving Africans kiddies to be any good and if you are no good at least you can be proud of yourself. Meanwhile Mathews, one of the most ruthless and selfish people to have ever been associated with the game, gets performance from the likes of Pike and White, wins flags and advertises dodgy homes in Butt Fck Idaho.

Cupido would be a risk but one we can afford given the only other player with anything like his talent level is Lappin and he’s a bit old. I wouldn’t mind either of these two as a PSD freebie but I have always like Lappin and he’d be a better bet over the next 3 years. If for no other reason than it might represent change I wouldn't mind seeing Cupido give one last chance to have a career. Who knows he might just take Leon Davis spot in which case he could hardly perform much worse.

That's true. At the time I thought he was a bit soft which you wouldn't think LM would cop. Also LM was trying to change the culture a bit too. He did it at Collingwood by dumping Mark Williams when he argued the toss about his contract (always was and still is a whinger) and when he sunk the boot into Matt Ryan. We certainly don't need any more squibs at Collingwood. We do need an influx of skill though.

I'm not really that fussed with taking or not taking Cupido. I would like to see a few more mongrels on the list though. What I wouldn't give for a Darren Millane but I fear MM wouldn't let him in the front door.
