I think Ripper was asking how we are going to have performed financially in 2009 and if it is OK that our major sponsor is rn by the bloke that is the chairman of our board.

The more I declare the innocence of the first post in this thread, the more it's going to look like I'm in the know about some well-iffy wheelings and dealings going on at the club - which I'm not!

I'm not accusing the Club Board or Administration of anything, but I'd like to open up the books on some transparency as to how the process of the changing of the logo and now jumper has occured...

Questions such as:
a) who suggested the change?
b) which company did the alleged 'research'?
c) who actually was in the "focus groups"?
d) which company did the designs for the logo and guernsey, and are their any relationships (corporate or otherwise) between them and anyone on the Board or in the Administration?
e) show us the research that 'proves' or shows in theory that a change of logo or guernsey will bring in further members?
e) how much has the entire process cost our Club? From top to botttom - how many dollars?

There are many more questions to be asked, but these were just off the top of my head. As I said, no accusations or inside knowledge were used in the creation of these questions, merely thoughts that have crossed my mind.

It's not unusual. Off the top of my head, another example is Allan McAllister of Spicer's Paper as President of Collingwood.

Now THIS is the can of worms I want opened up. Where did this ridiculous chain of events start? Who is going to put their hand up and say "it was me"? THe last month or so has shown that with some openness there may well have been a different result.

More and more my emotion is changing to anger. Twice I was lied to by relatively senior staff. The whole "process" stinks.

But most of all, who the f*** does Michael Bowers think he is. Run the club, set the direction OK. But change the jumper? And using his devious lawyer's mindset to justify it?

Technically KRudd can do the same thing with the Australian flag - but he knows that would be suicide. To my mind this is exactly the same thing.

I want - no demand answers.
