One of the funniest most brilliantly written sitcoms of all time is back on 9 at wait for it.............. 2am in the bloody morning on a tuesday ( monday viewing night).
OK it has swearing ala The Sopranos and Six Feet Under but I figure if networks are going to allow that for 8.30 movies and so forth who cares.
For those of you who dont know CYE let me give you a quick heads up.

Larry David co creator of Seinfeld and the basis of the George character plays himself in LA post Seinfeld.
You think George is a loser !!!
Littered with cameo appearences of stars willing to take the ******** out of them selves this show is a brilliant satire about life in the Hollywood dream factory.
Having won Emmys for best comedy, best actor in a comedy role and best writing for a comedy series CYE is right up there with some of the greatest sitcoms of all time.
What 9 are thinking ( they have played both series at this time slot over the past 2 years) has got me stuffed.
It would come to ratings I am sure but with no Letterman on Monday nights CYE would be perfect for after Nightline.
Any CYE fans keen to pressure 9 let me know.

I like this show too, but 2am is a ridiculous timeslot, even if it was after The Apprentice it would be ok.

Channel 9 put alot of it's gun shows after 10:30 eg.Six Feet under , nThe Soprano's.

I would just like to re-iterate that Curb Your Your Entusiasm is the best show ever.

Haven't actually seen this show but heard nothing but great things about it...

Just had the pleasure tonight to watch a double episode on the Comedy Channel. Sensational... Does it get any better than this? I doubt it.

I had heard a little about the show and seen bits and pieces of it on Foxtel but had never really got into it. But after reading that comment ( and winning a few hunge on a quaddie in the greys i decided to buy the first season and give it a chance. After watching the first few episodes i went out and bought the 2nd season and am now awaiting the 3rd season to come out in a few days. GREAT SHOW

Saw it recently for the first time, lets just say that it brought a very big smile to my face :D

I saw in the TV guide that this weeks ep on 9 is 'Cra-Z Eyz Killa', bloody funny episode - poor old Larry.

What I like the best about Larry is he's likable because he does whatever he wants but you can also see he's a prick and a bit of headcase. Great balance.

You'd think 9 would have grabbed this, whacked it on with something like Sex and City and pushed it as 'Seinfeld for grown ups' or something. Missed opportunity I reckon, everyone I know who's seen it has absolutely loved it.

Can't believe we have to wait until 12:30am for such brilliance.

The funniest show on TV right now.

Where can I download the theme song?

One of the West writers claims it to be the greatest sitcom of all time

One question, has it ever been shown prime time here?

Wonder how an evening line-up of all the great (mainly HBO) shows that have been shafted by the local stations would rate? Something like...

7.30 - Arrested Development
8.00 - Curb Your Enthusiasm
8.30 - The West Wing
9.30 - The Sopranos
(Nine actually showed it in this time slot when it first aired but would cut out some of the swearing).

Be an interesting experiment.

Gotta say, I saw two episodes and hated it. Larry David just annoyed the hell out of me, I just get frustrated at the yelling and totally overly neurotic to the point of obsessive compulsive whining about every tiny thing. Constantly. Sure this can be funny sometimes, and was in Seinfeld (although jerry's antics annoyed me at times), but it is all too much with Curb your Enthusiasm. It’s like Jerry’s annoying bits on Seinfeld amplified and then put on steroids. For half an hour. Maybe I need to give it more of a go but I’d prefer to just watch reruns of Blackadder! That has the cruicial component of wit! Each to their own though!
