There was a fair bit of excitement about this guy after he'd kicked 14 goals, which was understandable. Equally as predictably since then, even though he's continued to plug along consistantly and play pretty well the interest has dropped away beacuse he hasnt kicked double figure goals again. What are peoples thoughts? Would the crows be keen? What pick will he go?
I would say he'll be a second rounder but most likely be picked up by a vic club like the bulldogs or o) Richmond.

Totally agree. With taylor walker on the cards i doubt the crows would even consider him. Personally i think Michael Wundke is a better player than Havelberg anyway

I'll wait until after the SANFL finals, as I have not seen much of the kid.

I was privileged to see him bag his 14 against Norwood. Also saw him running around in defense against Eagles. He looked strong and composed at either end of the ground, which suits Craig's versatility criteria.

Is he slow?

Is he really too short?

How does Havelberg compare to Taylor Walker?

May be worth a punt towards the end of the draft or a huge bonus of we can rookie list him.

Hes 189cm according to the SANFL budget (which can be very unreliable). I think thats a similar size to Taylor Walker. From the sounds of it, Walker is more agile and a bit quicker though.

I have my doubts as to whether Havelberg will be drafted. He may go late...but id be very surprised if he went in the first 3 rounds.

Finished 12 in the goalkicking with 37 goals from 17 games. After the 14 goal game he kicked multiple goals on 3 more occasions from 8 games, with a best of 5 goals.

Don’t forget that he is only 19 year old. I would be very happy with James Sellar or Taylor Walker kicking 37 goals next year.

Well, i'd say he's about 10cm shorter than me so 189 would be about right and man, he's solid. Pretty fit too and can move around well. I'm not saying I'd give up anything more than a second or third round pick for him but there will be more interest in him than some ppl around here think I reckon. He did this in the SANFL, so I think we should all take a deep breath, and analyse his season on its merits, and not just on the prayer he could be our Westhoff.
