This bloke needs to sail off into the abyss as far as I'm concerned..

How is this guy a role model for the youth following football?

He runs with this 'don't take life seriously gimmick' but glorifies taking drugs, alcohol, gambling and doing the dirty on his Mrs, yet still has a gig in the media,. could it get any worse?

He provides absolutely no insight into the game and his act is completely stale.

The guy is always cooked and looks like a complete bum now, he started a go fund me page, which I'm sure was half taking the piss and half not because he probably is broke....

Thoughts?
 
he glorifies drugs, gambling, alcohol, cheating and you wonder why he has a gig in the media? literally every ex-AFL meathead on your TV is a criminal and/or drug addict. the media landscape was built by big fat cheating drug abusing white men. it's not some weird mystery, it's our country, our way of life

Well then don’t listen to him, it’s not like he’s on five different media platforms every week. Podcasts are the easiest things to avoid if you don’t enjoy that person’s content.

He’s not in the media, he does a podcast that anyone in the public could do.
 
There are so many bad role models for kids in the world what can you do but be an example to your own kids and teach them as well as you can. No matter what you think of him, Dane Swan isn’t the reason your kids are going to suck.

I don't. The last I saw of him was the live ad for Sportsbet during the Brownlow where the joke was about him not dressing up while doing the live tweeting for them. See, it's funny because Swanny is a real larikan who thumbs his nose at authority and doesn't follow the rules. Then I decided to have a look at a few of the tweets to see what he was running with; after the second Mumford coke inuendo it was all I could do to hold my sides together.
 
Something really bizarre about a 35 year old bloke that wears snapbacks, long tees and skinny jeans.

At some point you've got to grow up, part of me wishes I never had so maybe I'm just jealous of him.
 
Found him much more interesting on Open Mike than he ever was on The Footy Show, where he seemed reluctant to engage in much.

Obviously the shackles are off a bit now, but he always seemed a bit too cool to show much of his personality on TFS. Don’t mind him.
