Of course he would be great at Carlton, as would Luke Power, Nick Dal Santo or James Kelly. Doesn't mean we'll get them but hopefully we'll be trying. I just hope we don't give away too much to get them.

turned 22 2 weeks ago, experienced 91 gamer, just entering his prime, runner up rising star winner, quick, very good skills, tough in and under HBG and clearance player. probably our hardest and toughest player. one of our very best, theres only AAs and brownlows better than him at WC.

will take alot to dislodge him from the eagles list though, hes got 120 games of top quality football left in him, then another few years as a wiley old veteran, and hes an eagles boy through and through

and honestly, fev is the only player youve got that we would actually want (besides waite, and being newly re-signed and a F/S we couldnt get him anyway, besides if i was you guys id be holding onto him for grim death). ash hansen is playing better than whitnall this year, and we are chock full of midsized forwards and backs.

Kerr and the Eagles first draft pick (probably 17th) and I would consider it. I wouldn't like it too much but it would be great to have a midfielder of Kerr's class in the side.

wont happen. kerr has only just turned 22, played around 90 games. I like Fevola but he isnt worth Kerr AND a 1st round pick. He MIGHT be worth 2 first round picks (similar to Ottens last year). Fevola has a poor record on quality backlines, he cuts up the poor ones.

Talls>Smalls

Fevola's value to a side is far greater than Kerr's will ever be.

Fevola is 24 years old and averages around 5 goals against the best backline in the league (Geelong) over the last two years so your other comments are rubbish.

Kerr is a very good player but he's not exactly having an outstanding season at West Coast this year. Kerr and the 17th pick would be bare minimum.

you cannot be serious.

After hearing all of you bluebaggers asking price for Whitnall last year nothing suprises.

I cant see him coming to Perth anyway.

The hot tip is the bulldogs...dont be surprised if he ends up there.

That's the reality. Fevola is a genuine matchwinner while Kerr is just a very good midfielder. Your dilussional if you think otherwise.

This is not a kick in the ribs while you're lying down....

You should trade Fevola because (not WCE though).... by the time you get up of the canvas and are a top 4 side, in say, 5 - 7 years, Fevola will be past his prime.

You should keep all your draft picks to stock up on young players that will come through the system together and form the nucleus of the club for 10 years.

I wouldn't trade 3rd & 4th round draft picks for discards from other clubs, such as Longmuir & Chambers, as A). they won't be premiership players and B). you don't want an instant rise to the middle of the table where you don't get the low draft picks. Although saying that, Chambers & Longmuir have had no impact.

If you trade low picks, I wouldn't do it for anyone past 22.

I personally, would not like to see Kerr + something else getting traded for Fevola. Fevola could be the final chink in 3 Premierships (Yes I know I'm dreaming) or could see us go down the gurglar. Kerr is the hardest nut in our team and I would say, has the 2nd biggest motor (when the chips are down and things aren't going WCE way) behind Cousins. Yes thats right, bigger motor than Judd.

Heres the Crux, would do the Fev deal for say 1st & 2nd round draft picks and a fringe player, picks 18 & 34 approx. But theres no way Carlton would accept that.

Long term injury to say Cousins or Judd and I'd say without Kerr, our midfield comes right back to the pack, so to speak.

Hope that explains my thoughts regarding Fev.

No, thats your deluded reality. Fevola averages 2.4 goals a game. That is nothing. We have a bloke who is 170cm playing out of a forward pocket averaging 2.1 goals a game, over more games. Fevola has off field problems, attitude problems and doesnt set nearly a good enough example to young players. He is not a team player. Dont deny what I am saying because I am reading this of the Carlton Supporters Website right now. Your very own are saying the exact same thing I am.

I dont know why I am even bothering. We would never trade Kerr and a first round pick for Fev. Never. We would flat out refuse.

mate ur lack of football knowledge and ppl like you is always amusing to read

if fevola had DECENT supply from a DECENT midfield he'd be the coleman medalist without at shadow of doubt ....

when our midfield is on top (rarely) the supply is good as they are under less pressure ... for example if he had hawthorns set up in mark williams place he would be miles in front of everyone else atm.

fevola at the eagles, bulldogs, hawks, freo or other teams with dominant midfields would see fevola develop into an absolute star ...

in saying this he'll be at carlton next year as he's our most important and valuable player tho ;)

WTF are you on! I backed up my argument with stats. You made broad statements like "he would be a coleman medalist with a good midfield". Lack of football knowledge my bottom.

I said in a previous post that I do rate Fevola. I am not criticising him as a player. I was criticising Grendal's claim that Fev was "worth KERR AND 1st ROUND PICK - BARE MINIMUM". To say that when we have a forward pocket averaging .3 goal per game less is laughable.

your not thinking out of the square

if matera averages 2.1 goals per game imagine what fev would do!!!

you must remember the wizard cup final!!! our midfield (somehow???) was on top of yours and such our delivery into fev and whitnall was superb ... added to defensive pressure not able to be enough to prevent fev cos we were bringing the ball in too fast.

the fact you brought that stat in just proved my point mate ;)

ps: fev > kerr + 1st rounder ... kerr wont win you a flag ... if you had fev you would!!!!

a gues at what your fwd setup could be:

matera fevola lynch
sampi hanson Embly

ps: it doesn't really matter cos fev will stay a blue ...

Stats can tell a lot of lies. Acording to stats Chris Judd is not in the top 50 midfielders. I agree though that Fev isn't worth Kerr and a first round pick. He's worth more.

Kerr is an effing w.anker. I do not want him at my club.

After Angwin's stupid comments the other week we don't need to recruit someone who's been busted for forging valium perscriptions.

And stop talking about trading Fevola. Trade you FF for a midfielder so you can get more inside 50s, you need a FF to kick goals. Stop it.
