I think Sidebottom deserves a bit more credit then what the poll is showing as I believe Dangerfield hasnt deserved the enormous hype he gets yet, watching yesterdays game as they kept comparing him to Ablett was nauseating.

Having said that I still would rather Danger they are similar now but I like his aggression and would take him going forward.

Sidebottom is a year younger. Dangerfield cops more attention due to playing in a lesser team, but so far has been pretty inconsistent. Sidebottom had more footy and kicked more goals last year. Sidebottom also has an exceptional finals record. Dangerfield looks like he could have a breakout year this year, but so far the hype has exceeded the output.

I'd say Sidebottom. He just goes along very consistently, and then once in a while can dominate a game.
Dangerfield has been very underwhelming. He's good, but he's not that good. Shows brilliant flashes of excellence, but then drops away for weeks at a time.

Didn't Dangerfield have a breakout year last year? Guy is overrated as all hell.

Both are fairly inconsistent, but you can see that both are capable of ending up champions. Too hard to pick for me.

Dangerfield has stepped up at times, but his two best games last year were against Port & Gold Coast, the two worst teams in the league by a fair bit.

Dangerfield does not play good games - you are just looking at the stats. If he played a good game against us I missed it.

He had a match winning qtr against the Hawks at the start of the season and was average for most of the rest of it.

Dangerfields best ever game was a week ago v Brisbane, Sidebottom has played a huge 3 or 4 finals games. No contest.

Sidebottom clearly has it all over him on output, and Dangerfield clearly has more potential, but given that Dangerfield has been around a year longer and still hasn't shown the consistency to even put in 4-quarter efforts in games, you'd have to be concerned that he's not putting it all together.

That had more to do with Neil Craig then Danger himself. Danger would play a good burst in the midfield and then Craig would put him deep forward for the rest of the quarter.
Hard to get consistency when not played around the action. Particularly as a forward for us in the last 2 years.

Dangerfield has done more damage against us than Sidebottom. He is a very good player in an average side. Sidebottom is just a good player in a very good side.

Sidey has played some of his best football in finals and grand finals...he seems to almost cruise during home and away. I think he would actually step it up more if given more responsibility.

sidebottom is good.
dangerfield has all the attributes to be a brilliant player except one, a footy brain. sidebottom is a year younger as well remember still developing his body while dangerfield is a brute. sidebottom has far better skills on both sides of his body.the only things dangerfield has over sidebottom is that he is a big unit and has electrifying pace, doesnt really help you when you dont run into the right spaces.
