Nobody wants him to fail, but his past performances in the seniors were probably the worst Ive seen. he'd be vying with some of McKernan's performances for 'worst impersonation of a league footballer'.

Good luck to you Bandyman. attack that footy and kick quickly and truly.

... should never play for the club again. He may be a great athlete, but he is a shocking footballer, lacks basic skills and smarts.

Whilst I agree he wasn't much v Carlton, I don't think he'll be dropped.
Minson needs a run in the 2nds, Wight too skinny still, Skipper needs form and we have no others.

Horses for courses. In the hot and humid conditions of Darwin, Bandy was more effective as back-up ruckman than Minson, who would have died off after 15 minutes. Totally agree that his football smarts and touch were as non-existent as ever on Saturday night.

Agree. Rocket has said already that he expects players that have been dropped to perform consistenly over an extended 2-3 week period before he considers them for selection again.

Bandy will play V the Saints.

The point I am trying to make is Bandy has been tried and tested he will not offer us anymore.

After this week Round 13 there are 9 games to go. K-Mac, Skipper, Walsh, and Wight need to be tried at the top level again for some of them and others for the first time. In 9 games time Rocket and his staff will need to make decisions on these players based on very little information from senior games. Although I would back Rockets judgement I dont want to be sitting here next year saying Walsh, K-Mac etc are not upto to it.

Another injury to Walsh and any of the others mentioned and the chances of playing seniors is slimmer. Whilst they are fit I would rather them play than have Bandy in the team. Bandy has shown what he can do he will not improve, Yes I am negative on him and I hope I am wrong but he has given me nothing to suggest he is about to become a tall mobile bigman who can take a packmark and influence a game physically and at 29 with his height and fitness he should be doing that.

The trouble with your logic is that you assume that the coach thinks as you do and that you know what is better for the team both short and long term than Rocket does. If the coach agreed with your initial point he would be either stupid or wicked to play him. Given that so far he has shown himself to be neither perhaps he sees something that so far has escaped both your and my notice.
I am prepared to concede that, because while he hasn't always been right he has done so more often than I expected. Regarding the other young talls he has tried them recently and no doubt set them targets and things to work on. There is no need to rush them and especially not Walsh. He is not a regular senior player, so can't be expected to claim a place as soon as he is fit.

I dont know whats better for the team, thats a certainty.

If Rocket sees something in Bandy that escapes me I will back Eade and wait to see it BUT I WONT BE HOLDING MY BREATH. I hope I am wrong on Bandy but even Saturday nights performance didi nothing to even hint I may be completely wrong.

Absolutely agree. While he wears the red, white and blue I hope he goes well. We could certainly do with him finding some form.

Don't know what to make of his last game. Got his hands to the ball in the ruck, got into positions where the ball was going to go around the ground, but was very ineffective with his disposal. Almost like a young player with stage fright or over anxious to perform well. I hope it was the latter, there aren't too many 2m tall players with his number of games. However if he has really lost it then it puts us in a quandry because he is, as everyone reports, signed for 2006 season.
