Just wanted to know the thoughts about Chick.

I still think he needs to get a bit more of the ball. I realise he tackles well and that he has never been a big ball getter, but for mine he was a little dissapointing

He was carrying a shoulder injury for most of this year, so I thought he did a pretty good job for a one armed man. Lets hope he doesn't use the same method to fix his shoulder as he did his finger 'ey?

yeah i agree that to improve his game he could get more of the ball but that's not his main strength.

he adds a hardness to our team that is lacking from a lot of other players. i actually think that others players play better knowing that chick is adding that physical pressure to their opponents.

I think that if you would ask daniel he would be the first to suggest that he would like more of the ball. Part of the reason why he came to WCE was to fit into the midfield at times and contribute to the ball winning efforts of our midfield.
However his shoulder was never up to it and limited his opportunities; this was why he played as a negator as much as possible. His shoulder still wasn't up to this.
For a guy who carried such an injury to play as much as Chick did and to contribute as well as he did is nothing short of miraculous.
I'm hoping his body will mend for this season and we get more Chick.

Hmmmm get more chicks, sounds good to me!!

Chick will have a better season next year. He has settled in well with the club, is an important player for the team, and with his shoulder healing nicely, he will be a better asset for our club next year.

Expect Chick to win the BFWCPOTY award next year. :)
