Not too sure if anyone has already started this thread - how do we reckon Daniel Kerr will go this year? Is he fit? He is an absolute Bargain if he is!:)

Do you like playing Russian Roulette with four loaded chambers?

If so, by all means...

I am thinking of having him as one of my emegencies - to start with - I think im too GC top heavy though - Im really not sure about Kerr.. going over his stats, hasnt played much footy at all in the past 3-4 seasons due to suspensions and injuries.

That's a lot of money to spend on a bench player. Personally i'd prefer to just take a rookie instead. There's plenty of good non-GC midfield rookies available.

i actually had him in my initial filler team basically as a placeholder with high potential to remain in my team but your above line sounded off in my head like an explosion so i went straight on to tinker the team around a little.

like i said he was only a placeholder for the mean time with potential to stay but with him over the last few years the risk has just been far too great.

i mean some people are wary of chappy missing 5 games a year cause of injury but the dude is just an out and out machine who consistently pumps out the numbers.
with kerr you don't know if he'll bother playing properly or have a mind explosion resulting in suspension or get injured.
not worth it imo....even at that tempting price.

Good to hear he is back! i did have him in my midfield for a bit but felt it was to week with him in there so found money elsewhere and upgraded to mr consistant! (Boyd) my eye is on him from now til Rd 1 though, coz an extra 200k would be nice)

Could be a handy pick up, but unlikely he will get through the whole season. Further injury or suspension beckons.
Hope i'm wrong though, always liked watching him play.

LOL! Nice to see you back Clunk. I'm still looking for my head that you took! ROFL! :D:thumbsu:

I'm always around. Don't post too much but read a lot. Looking for a better year than 2010. Should be, as long as I don't pick players like Kerr.

And dont worry, that one off victory is long forgotten. :p

Positive signs for West Coast star Daniel Kerr

DANIEL Kerr is back in full training but the Eagles won't take any chances with their star midfielder.

Kerr, who hasn't played since tearing his hamstring in Round 1 last year, will again be a spectator for Sunday's NAB Cup quarter-final clash with Gold Coast in Perth.

Although Eagles coach John Worsfold is hoping to play Kerr in at least one pre-season fixture, he said it wouldn't guarantee the 27-year-old a spot in the team for the club's Round 1 match against North Melbourne on March 27.

"If he gets a game in (this pre-season) that's great, he may get two in, we're not really sure yet," Worsfold said today.

"If he plays two practice games it doesn't mean he'll play Round 1.

"If we expect that we can only use him for half a game for Round 1, even after playing two (pre-season games) that may not fit with what we want to do.

Kerr recently rejoined the main training group and Worsfold was pleased with the 170-game veteran's progress.

Still wouldn't pick him

I can see him averaging 80-90+ if the youngsters dont steal his spot first. (eg. Masten, Shuey, Gaff)

Or suspended

Unlikely, his style of play attracts the watchfull eye of the MRP, hard to get away with anything these days.

It was a response to the 2 previous posts, not just Lotches.

'he just needs not to get injured'
'Or suspended"

'Unlikely'
