when did you see him play - good judge of horse flesh you are

by the way he has a ruckmans staure, is one of the quickest on Brisbanes list, has a leap and a vice like grip - project player you say - I think not!!!

he is very much a project player and the lions admit he has come on quicker than they expected. I think you may have seen one or two of his games this yr and then maybe slightly overrated him a bit. He was dropped after a while cause he fell away.

Physically he is a monster though, i am not sure about his pace but he isnt slow, but he is very much a straight lines player atm, this is to do with footballing ability. Whether theres more there who knows. A 'gun' is someone like cooney, judd or reiwoldt, merrit is a decent prospect. I would love to have him on our list though and its disappointing that we draft 189cm forwards like jericho and brisbane draft 195cm 100kg+ forwards and we wonder why we got indirectly to goal.

in terms of trading directly for watts, i dont think we would do it.
