I heard this afternoon that Danny Frawley had been appointed CEO of the AFL Coaches Association.
I know that he was only part-time key defenders coach but I would doubt he'd have time for that now so it looks like we have lost another member of our Premiership coaching team.

do we need another specialist Key defensive coach - if so who?

It feels like we are in a coaching rebuilding fase, one thing for sure is that Clarko is the main man who got us to were we are atm, so the others are just bonus,s and he will choose who he thinks is the right man for the job

Dont you have to be a coach in some respect to be a member of the AFLCA? the same as to be involved in the AFLPA you need to be a player

I havent seen the charter for AFLCA membership but Frawley said today "one of my key roles will be helping coaches adjust to life after football".
He is replacing Neil Daniher as current CEO and the President is Kevin Sheedy - so I'd say ex coaches can still be members and office holders.

Association president Kevin Sheedy said “We believe though that in Danny Frawley we have got the best possible person to ensure our ambitious expansion programs continue.

And we know Danny is really keen to do this job because he has chosen us over some other pretty good job offers.

Frawley will take up the post in November.

Also from Fox: Carlton have announced they would not offer assistant coach Gavin Crosisca a new contract.
Crosisca was Carlton's defensive coach for the last two seasons

Frawley said that he would not have accepted his position without Armstrong also being part of the AFLCA.

"I couldn't think of a better person to work with," said Frawley, who has resigned from an assistant coaching role with Hawthorn.

Gone.

Did a very good job at Hawthorn IMO based on results alone without even considering development.

Good luck to him.
