Not sure if yall have heard of him but his the son of form NBL player and college teammate of Michael Jordan at North Carolinas championship team, Cecil Exum.

Dante is 15, a member of the AIS and recently made a Boomer squad.

I've coached against him many times and can vouch for his ability at the PG. Unbelievable control, skills and decision making, great size, ball handler is incredibly graceful and makes playing the game look effortless.

Only knock would be that his not overly aggressive or doesn't force shots for himself but that could be a positive too. Only 15.

I think the best prospect we've had since Bogut..

Perhaps could be even better... keep an eye out..

Wouldn't consider his Dad to be too laid back... have coached against him several times and his a good guy..

His actually got two sons.. the other one inherited the ass...

I've coached against Dante and his brother recently and let me say the kid is NBA bound.

Unbelievable effortless gracefullness.. best prospect we've ever had.

that you keepzitreal?

nba bound? big call already, but hope he does make it!

i figured winning a championship with Jordan was a more interesting fact..

Dante is a totally different player to his old man and possesses a combination of skillset and size which is rare anywhere.

At the junior international tournament Dante was our best player and scored 16 points against the Americans. Kid can play and would think that a lot of American colleges would be into him. His still 10 years away from his peak.

hopefully it's not just a case of big fish small pond.

In my opinion will be a top 20 NBA pick if Bogut went #1..

His at least 6'4, can jump, quick as a cat, can dribble, quick reactor, quick second jump, most importantly mature and makes good decisions, brings others into the game.

His a rare commodity.

Did I mention his only 15..

Being an under 18 coach for over 5 years now I've got a fair idea about the talent out there, most kids have attitude problems or don't care enough, this isn't the case with Dante.

Top kid.

Top kid.

none of us here have seen him like you so we're relying on your insight.

But I must say the bolded part is full of faults.

1. basing your projection on bogut being no 1? how do you know what the draft strength is like IF he does enter the draft when eligible? you can't say because player A went at number 1/2/3/X then player B will go at Y.

we do need a former/current poster to provide his opinion given that he played and beat bogut when he was a junior.

2. you are comparing a centre and a guard

3. 6'4" with those attributes? so do many other players.

4. rare commodity? there are bucket loads of players like that in the world let alone the states. put him in the USA now how would he fare? i guess no one knows.

hopefully he will go far, but if there's one thing i've learnt over the past 15-20 years its not to get too excited about aussies making the grade. we were one of the best nations in the world during the 90s. pepper, simon dwight, melmeth, heal, bradtke, anstey didnt do much over there (dwights case didnt go admittedly). recent times schenscher, jawai, mills. jawai was unlucky with his heart condition, mills might get back.

He's playing in the Australian Schools Championship which is held in Kilsyth at the moment so watched his game on Wednesday and heading to the Grand Final tomorrow. It's on at 2.15 if anyone was interested. Scored 37 on Wednesday despite 1/12 from 3. Takes the game on and a genuine athlete, well worth checking out the game if you're in the area.

Interestingly, his teammate, Jack McVeigh seems to be putting up better stats than him (who also dominated at the U18 championships).

McVeigh has been very impressive. Was in early foul trouble in the match I watched so didn't play as much minutes as he usually would but he pushes hard and isn't afraid to take on the defence, in the post and from outside

Hope Boston doesn't draft him.

What's amazing is the kid could go to any college in America including Kentucky.. but by going pro, he could be a top 4 or #1 pick in a shallow draft.

Never thought he'd go straight from High School nor that he would go so high. Truly amazed. Kid has come on since my original post.

He'll struggle big time if he goes straight from playing high school in Australia to the NBA.
