I'm interested in getting your thoughts on this guy. He played 13 games for the Blues between 1985 and 1987. He then played a season for the Kangaroos and Sydney.

I was born in the mid 80's so I know very little about him as a player. I know there are many people on this board that are in their late 30's or oder that know more about him as a player.

A mate of mine went to school at Overnewton a few years back and Darren was a Sports teacher at the school. My mate tells me he was an absolute prick of a guy who thought his shi* didn't stink.

Saying that, I'm still interested in knowing your opinions on how good of player he was?

Thanks.

Ogier was a reasonable reserves player, who played mostly as a forward. Had a good set of hands, but was an average kick. He was not quick & not terribly mobile. He regularly gained selection for the night competition but his 23 senior games at 3 clubs is a fair indication of his ability, or lack thereof.

He was definitely nothing more than a depth player. Played the 'third' forward position. Kicked a couple in a match against North i think but it was a pretty short, unremarkable career.

Wore the famous #49 guernsey. Showed some potential but struggled to crack a game in our best 20 during his time at the club. Most likely would have played more senior footy if he was at a less successful club like St Kilda.

Well said:):thumbsu:

He would be lucky to get a senior game at the Bullants these days. In fact he wouldn't have been drafted if he was playing now.
