you guys all look like this to him being delisted

tell me about this guy - what position - whats his size - fill me in:confused::eek:

Here's a tip.

-> Search Function.

i'd prefer to hear it from the supporters - as they generally know best - and i have always found the crows board to be good judges of their players - i could google him and see a whole bunch on numbers which don't mean much - but i would rather a fans perspective on the guy

delisted for disciplinary reasons - was sent back to sanfl club last year, then king hit at a bar this year then went post curfew and some other little bits and pieces.
6 foot + a bit running rebound defender with reasonable skills and athleticism and a huge leap. played no afl games but looks very comfortable at sanfl games. could be a good player but has to lose some arrogance - i believe adelaide are using the delisting as a wake up call and may redraft him in pre-season if he puts in some hard work (nothing that i've heard but they did similar with porplyzia in the past)

porpylzia had nothing to do with his behaviour, just told to go away and work on endurance and leg speed. then was re-drafted 2seasons later.

Pfeiffer has very good skills but is a bit of a lad. nothing some time and maturity wont fix. would be a great pick up for another team (perhaps outside SA/mates) perhaps not west coast though! ;)

very likeable bloke, good luck to him!

Hope we get him back in the PSD he is gonna be a star when he gets his priorities right

He's gone now, Essendon or someone will pick him up before we get to choose in the PSD, which is a shame.

He must be more of a c#@# than we could imagine. Cant believe he got the flick. He must be trouble, surely was worth keeping on the list. He will get picked up for sure!:thumbsd:

Who cares if he got delisted, Attitude is everything, and he obviously had the wrong attitude so he isn't a right fit for the Adelaide Football club.

Hes been known to be a bit of a bighead towards the ladies and I have no doubt he may have done more than what weve heard about but I think someone will pick him up again and hopefully he gets it right.

And fryingpan..... garbage player ?? Just shows how much of an idea youve got for talent.

Never gonna play for an AFL club IMO. When he's got the mindset he's got there's no changing it.

What's he shown at AFL level? Oh that's right he hasn't debuted yet. He doesn't even dominate in the SANFL FFS. When our boys go back to the SANFL they DOMINATE. He needed Douglas and Vince type dominations in the SANFL and has failed to do so.

Douglas >>> Vince >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pfieffer. Both on and off the field.

He hasnt dominated but he has done pretty well in most games hes played there. That was my 1 query as to his ability, the fact he hasnt torn apart a game yet but who knows, you throw him in there and he might well prove you wrong. He will get another go as his mindset is good despite what you may think. I think its plainly obvious he wasnt dropped due to ability, just a couple of silly things hes done.

Should we just draft church choir mice like Meesen? Not having a go at you mate, just the club on this one. Hes only a kid. If he comes good, I will be gutted

Oh I know, like Ive said many times I dont think it warrented delisting and its great to have guys with a bit of a personality. Its a bit tough to compare him to those guys but I do see where youre going with it.

Yeah Im not saying he is anyhwere near those blokes, but they could of been flicked as kids aswell for being big heads.

I do find it funny that some people often bag the AFC for not having the balls to make a tough decision but when they do, they get bagged for it. As much as I love Bode and Torney (and they have been my favourites for a LONG time) it was the right decision to make.

Similarly with Pfeiffer, talent to burn but attitude stinks. John Cahill said that the most important thing he learned as a coach is when to cut his losses. The longer he was in the job, the quicker he got rid of the players who had talent but not the right attitude.

I do like the fact that the club is taking this approach. In the past we would have given players a chance after chance just because they are talented but didn't work hard on the training track and didn't have the right attitude to their footy. That appears to have changed.

The longer Ive had to think about it the more I too am going with the "glass half full" approach. Hard decisions were made and good on the club for doing it.

Agree 100% stiffy, but of all the hard, correct decisions Adelaide have made, I still think Pfeiifer had talent to burn, and he will be a good player. I dont know him personally and what I said was he must be a real shit of a bloke to be cut because he was coming on alright.

If West Coast had made a similar decision with Cousins years ago, they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now. Players have responsibilities off field these days and Pfeiffer ignored them too often.

The difference is, those names could back it up. Please never compare Pfeiffer to any of those ever again.

Each of them were the best in their chosen field, by quite a margin and will probably go down in each sport as some of, if not THE greatest ever.

Heard that interview with Cahill and he is absolutely right .....also applies in business.

Cut your loss early ...... someone said to me "whilst your tossing and turning about how to get the best out of someone ....that person is generally having a sound sleep"

In other words ....Pfieffer has been spoken too , if he wanted AFL bad enough it wouldn't have come to his delisting.

So why should everyone else worry about him if he doesn't care?

Correct. We have a saying in business that your first loss is your best loss, and invariably that is proven right.

The club did the right thing in pissing Pfeiffer off if he wouldn't do the hard yards like his teammates.

Is Drummond still alive??

Meesen traded for a used band-aid and Pfeiffer given his marching orders!! :D
