Just wondering what is wrong with David Armitage? I can't believe how he still isn't getting a game with all those players out. Is he injured? or does Ross Lyon have a problem with him? What would you guys want in a trade, coz hes got real potential and im dumbfounded how he isn't getting a game at the saints.

We'll take 95% of your salary cap for making yet another thread about yet another player about what we'd want to trade for him because suddenly our depth is worth taking and not a bunch of hacks.

Funny how populist opinion changes when you beat the snot out of everyone else, so hell, 95% of your salary cap should suffice, might want to throw in Rich as well though just in case. I mean that's what you'd get if he doesn't stay since the GC would be pretty keen on snapping him up as well if he was on the market.

Mate i was just asking a question, how come he isn't getting a game? I know about his attitude problems (2007) and i was wondering if that was the problem or if he was injured.

Mate, why on the face of the Earth would we have any idea why he's not being picked? Most all we can do is watch him play reserves and ask him if we get the opportunity and he decides he wants to tell us. Otherwise all we can do is speculate.

And I was serious, what i'd like for him in a trade to lions is 95% of your salary cap and Rich, because it's obvious that I don't want him to leave the Saints. I assumed this would kind of be common sense, seems I was mistaken.

Whilst I would have Armo in my team, I can understand why the club has taken a hard line. The "spread" aspect of our game has been a massive part of the improvement this year - something they are looking for Armo to develop further - along with almost everyone sticking their tackles.

I'm thinking he is still a big show to play this week too.

Did you catch him today?

We'll take Rich, Clark, Luenberger and your first round pick.

Hahaha, no thank you. His game today was brilliant.:thumbsu: Still can't believe that he wasn't getting a game before. You guys are lucky to have him .

I'm with Plugger, Armo over Eddy unless circumstances dictate otherwise

WHat did we think about Begley's game?

I haven't seen the stats but Begley seemed to have no influence.

Based on today I would have Armitage ahead of Luke Ball. Bally was the one disappointment today, absoluteley butchered it by foot today.

Begley had 7 touches and absolutely no influence, As for Armitage for Ball, dont think so, for Eddy yes, Ball definently not. We need Ballys hardness, lenny cant do it all. Hardly call, 25 disposals more than half contested, 11 tackles, 129 supercoach points a dissapointment anyway.

As for the one dissapointment for today, mine would have to be Kosi had an absolute shocker. Being one of my favourite players i thought he would of stood up today in the absence of Saint Nic and kick a bag.

Bally wasn't dropped for lack of hardness, it was the other aspects where he was struggling. Supercoach points and disposals mean nothing, it's turnovers that are the most important stat. What I saw today from Bally makes me think he should just handball when under pressure rather than risk coughing it up with his kicking.

Yeah Kosi was disappointing up forward, although he did well when he was sent to the backline. Took some crucial marks when the Hawks looked like getting a run on. It wasn't a good day for big key forwards though, both Franklin and Roughead struggled.

Thought Ball's effort and tackling were very good as always but his disposal skills let him down a bit. I reckon he's still worth his spot in our best 22 just for his pressure, hardness and tackling alone.

Ball will be in the side come finals time. There's no question about that. But if for some reason he doesn't than Armo looks like he can be a handy replacement rather than Eddy and his terrible kicking. Kicked a goal and probably should have kicked another one. Looked very Luke Ball-like with his work in and under.

Good game from Armo - but he is capable of that (as anyone who has watched the VFL games will attest).

The next step is consistency.

Loved when he was wrestling his twin (Hodge) - keep going at it even though he was copping a gouge.

You'd like to think so, Eddy really doesn't like a likely sort thus far to hold any sort of place and a fair few people would be quite, well pissed if he got a spot in the GF above someone like Ball.

We do seem to look more likely when we have both Ball and Hayes up and about to feed out runners and simply increase pressure on any ball carrier, and while Armo and Jack have done their chances no harm whatsoever, you'd think Ball would stay in the side barring any injury for Eddy.
