I suppose if Pagan sticks to idea that performance is what matters, then Clarke deserves a chance given good VFL performances. I think the overall philosophy is correct as is at least it puts a rocket up other players bums knowing that they can and will be replaced by the likes of Bowyer, McGrath, Clarke, Johnson etc. When a lack of heart is a bigger problem than a lack of skill, there is not much else you can do. If the likes of Campo, Scotland and Houlihan start questioning their places...that can only be a good thing. I think they feel a little safe give the "fringe" players who consistently fill spots 12 to 22. We could just start rebuilding and play some youngsters...but I don't think Pagan will concede the season yet by playing a Russell or a Blackwell...we can go down that route mid-season if we don't win any more games...at this stage the older recycled players, if they play tough and aggressive, is the way to go.

Morrell is tricky one...like Lance...was playing an unnatural role so he underperformed...but I'd think Davies, Betts and Fisher will push out the likes of Longmuir and Morrell at the end of the season.

more like an idiotic call morrell is not even on the same page as lance .....he has limited capabilities and lance is marked very harshly(and was at crown in the early hours last sunday morn. so was garry ablett jr).

I miss Diggers ... Seriously Morrell gave it all to this great club, a true stalwart of the Blues and the Bullants

However I have to give David Clarke Jnr a roast, I have to say he is the worst player EVER, EVER to represent the Carlton football club in an official game (okay Mark Athorn and Cain Ackland would give him a run for his money) but geez louise, thank god the days of us drafting/trading for recycled bums like Clarkey have been over for some time

i was actually disappointed we delisted him when we did considering the otherplayers still on the list. not a great player but unlike most of the recycled dross we endured under pagan, imo, digby showed heart.
