David Hille

Don't get me wrong Bomber fans, I can't stand you lot.

Just needed somewhere to post about David Hille. It was one fine effort to look after Jamie Charman as Charman was screaming in agony tonight.

For those who missed it, Hille stopped over Charman, called for Brisbane's trainers to attend, and when he saw the trainers responding, he let Charman know they were on the way, gave him a reassuring pat, and headed off after the ball.

There should be more of it in footy.

Fantastic effort by the big fella tonight! Played a great game, one of the best I have seen him play. Showed real leadership at important moments during the game. IMO repaid the faith of those at Essendon who declared him fit for captain this year.

Great game all round by Captain Hille. A few good captains goals as well as setting a few up, it was nice to see him do that to Charman. Great display of sportsmanship. Ah well gonna go watch the replay on fox footy now

I thought his effort was excellent, and he was certainly everywhere the play was BUT a few too many uncontested contests, especially at boundary throw ins. Helped a lot when Bradley started playing his part

david's a star, i had doubts about him being skipper but thats all vanished now. Hes so mature.

Too good for us on the night by far but at least we held out for 2.5 quarters with the kids.

2 things to say:
- well done to Hille. Great sportsmanship in a time where there's very little and I wonder whether our great captain would've done the same? Kudos, kudos to David and good luck to you son.
- Hird is out'n'out champion. I know he only had a kid on him most of the night (10th game Patfull - and hopefully he learned from the experience?) but Hirdy was just Mr Everywhere! Hope for your sake he doesn't retire as you can't buy that sort of class and experience. Just wish he'd stop slipping over and getting necked by our guys! Well done Jimmy.

Hey lads! Hope we kick your bum in a couple of weeks, but hey, I came hear to say I was very impressed with David Hille. His thought of Charman was one of the more inspiring things to happen on the field since Jason McCartneys retirement.

Also, I only notice Brissie and Bombers fans on this thread, though I think a Hawk started it, good on him. I only came to your forum specifically for the Hille thing.

And before you start to like me.... I hate Essendon just like every other team than Hawthorn, HAHAHA.

Yep, well done to David Hille, its good to see a bloke lend a hand to an opponent when hes in pain like that.Acts of sportmanship are a rare thing these days in the heat of the game.
All the best to Jamie Charman in his recovery too.
