Fall Out Boy

What did we all think of his debut game?

Obviously the conditions didn't suit him, but i was still comfortable with his performance. He gives a contest at the bounce, and when he went forward, he looked quite dangerous at times.

The ability to take a mark in the forward line is something that Unco and Street weren't able to give us.

In a way, i'm glad that King won't play this weekend. Will give him longer to recover, and also give Loats another chance, although rain is again forecast.

The weather didn't help, but he's a better bet than Street or Chambers.

Couldn't Agree More! Did look very dangerous at times in the forward line and I'm hoping he gets a chance to play a game in the seniors in better conditions than last weekend.

I don't think he embarrassed himself, and won his share of the hit-outs. Lost a few as well, but let's bear in mind that it was his first game for the season in the 1's.

Also, as noted, he did look like a fair threat when going forward... at the very least, he looked the part of a fair decoy.

He's no Steven King, but then again, King's got few equals in the league when he's healthy and fit.

I think he's going to be the kind of player who may not be a winning influence on a match-to-match basis, but he's not going to lose us any games.

Adequate cover for King, until Steven gets healthy again.

Weather last weekend is looking better. The forecast for this weekend is:-
Code:
Saturday
Showers. Possible hail and thunder. Windy. Min 7 Max 11
Probabaly a Westerly, cross ground breeze. Not exactly ideal conditions for Loats. Might be good for someone like Thurley though

We looked like crap when he was in the ruck at the start of the game and it showed on the scoreboard. The turnaround only came after Mooney was put in the middle.

Jury is definitely still out on Loats, but moving closer to a verdict IMO.

Rucking useless.Im more convinced than ever that we need to get a quality tall forward /ruckman type at our next draft/trade.Chamber,Loats,Street were all in the side as ruckmen and all were replaced by non ruckmen type Mooney or Benny G after a lack of clearance from the middle. If he could kick a couple of goals I might be more likley to have him in the side but at the moment hes an ashtray on a motorbike, does nothing for us in the middle, does nothing for the forwardline, does nothing for the run thru the middle and he nothing but look like a tall option while taking the spot of a runner.

Big call based on one game Turbocat. Loats impressed me enough in the Wiz Cup to suggest he warrants more game time than he is currently being granted.

Absolute joke he got dropped, i am staggered they view Chambers as the better player. The only justification can be the wet weather which will bring Chambers only football skill to the fore, tackling. I hope Loats gets another chance soon, big fan of his tap work.
D Johnson ahead of Rahilly is just as bad but i guess that is for another thread.

I actually rate Chambers as a better option that bLoats. Sure Loats is a tad more skilful, but the fact is he's a pansy. Chambers has guts even though he's the biggest ******* of a ruckman ever to disgrace the fair fields of Kardinia Park. And since sheer courage won us the game on Sunday you can't be too upset about his inclusion.

Chambers offers something that neither Loats or Street do, and that's putting his body on the line. He throws himself into contests, like big guys should, leaving our smaller players to do their job of using the ball.

Neither Chambers or Loats is a good tap ruckman, but until Loats decides to sacrifice himself for the team, Chambers should get the nod for endeavour.
