Where is he at? i know he has playing top footy in the reserves. And do you know if his contract ends at the end of the year. And will he leave and go to Hawthorn?

... (hey, guys, are you seeing this? ).

You know, I think it'd take a second round pick for us to let go of Spriggs. Yep. That's right. Do you think they'd accept that?

nah 3rd rounder mate!!

Gee mate, I don't know.

I suppose... you do have an early 3rd round pick. That will be around the 36-37 mark... but Spriggs is a talented player. Great kick on him... and his hardball gets! One thing you can never question is Spriggsy's toughness and willingness to have a red hot go.

We'll have to think about it. Is the 3rd rounder a solid offer?

Popular fella.

Maybe his 16 in the beep test can buy him time at another club and he can go after Murphy's record of being universally hated at 4 different clubs.

Agree with grimlock. Fitness doesnt buy game time. Hes had quite a few chances and has shown why geelong delisted him.

Shown why ?

He's bloody injured for most of the time in his second year at Geelong, so don't think he was crap to be delisted. He was unlucky, after an awesome debut season in the AFL.

Dunno, about spriggs, have seen him in a couple of games, played very mediocre, for a prize recruit,he has not impressed. If he has improved in the reserves, that does not really say much considering the opposition in the reserve league,ok,thats a bit harsh, but when the seniors hit the finals, there
are possibly going to be injuries, and perhaps he will get his chance to prove me wrong.Another lucky supposed prize recruit is Nick Davies. When he is not
injured he is very good- crap! He is another player who has to step up!

Believe me, Spriggs was never touted as a prized recruit.
He'll be here for another year. If he can't step up, then he'll be gone.

Good to see you are with me and want to keep Spriggs for another year at least.

Why would you want Spriggs in the side??? He has shown in the limited gametime he has been given that he adds NOTHING to our midfield and basically offers less than that of Nic Fosdike who is in a 22 and doing an OK job.

No i'm not with you in wanting to keep him for another year. I'm just being a realist and going on by what i think the coaching staff will do with him.

If it was my choice he'd be one of the first out the door. Heck i'd even keep Fixter before him!

The reason why is because believe he hasn't been given much of an opportunity despite playing some killer games in AFL Canberra comp with our reserves.

So I take you've seen him in the reserves to be able to make such a call???

Fact is, he has been given chances in the seniors after some solid games in the reserves and each time has failed to produce the goods.

At years end we need to rid ourselves of at least 4 players from the senior list to fit in our 3 draft picks that we must make and to promote Luke Vogels to the senior list. Matthew Nicks retirement doesn't free up a spot on the list as he was on the vet list.
