Bad luck Lleyton - maybe there was a bit of pressure in his first game back since the Masters and there was great expectations that since he was #1 he would be unbeatable.

I have faith in Rafter!

Scores are currently 6-3, 1-2 with Rafter serving

***** those froggies can play...what's up with that?
I was laughing when I heard that our team was Pat "he won, mate" Rafter and "he got Game" Hewitt..I was even joking about it before....but the French didn't seem phased by our dream team. Some great volleys but ..merde.

Good to see Bruce

What a stupid decision to play Rafter and Hewitt. Neither are totally experienced double players.

They were both tired from their matches yesterday, and now, they have to play another singles game tomorrow.

Would have been a much better idea to play Arthurs and Woodbridge instead.

Can't really see Australia coming back from 2-1 down, as it's only been done four times before. :(

Woody would've been the way to go surely....experience plus!
As Scarlet said "Tomorrow's another day" I hope they get to bed early. And Hewitt has beaten Gorjean very recently so...here's hope. What a noise the tiny French contingent made on the radio at the beach...I kept thinking the aussies had scored but 'non'.

Surely this was one of the worst moves we have made in Davis Cup history?

Not only did we pass on Woodbridge (doubles supreme!) and Arthers - who have been training and working out strategies for months, to instead go with Hewitt and Rafter who should of had the day to rest.

Now these players will probably be fatigued for tomorrow's match. Oh mon dieu! France 3-2 mon predicition.

I'm thinking now as well that it will be 3-2 to the French. I reckon that Hewill will be able to knock of Grosjean without to much trouble. I can see Rafter having trouble with Escude espicially with the doubts over his shoulder.

Im predicting an Aussie win!! The reverse is a better matchup as Grosjean has actually said publicly he doesnt like playing Hewitt. It could come down to Pat v Escude but Pat is a 2 time grand slam winner, former world number 1 and im sure he can pull it off.

GO AUSSIES!
