Gooch game reminds of me of the Novak vs Lleyton match a few Wimbledons ago. Lleyton had more breaks but in the tie-breaks Novak just had to much guile and class...

Typical Gooch type of match. Never gets broken, but never seems to have the class to finish a set off in the tie break.
As for Luzack, well...I would have been shocked if he got a set off Gonzalez.

Should have just played Klein and Tomic, that would have been an interesting way to start your Davis Cup career

Had Gooch had a bit more tactical nous against Massu we could have nearly had a 2-1 lead going into the last day...

Great win for Ball and Gooch, will give Gooch some confidence and I think that he will give Gonzo a hard run tonight...

Gooch v Gonzalez at the moment, Fernando took out the first set in a tiebreaker, after serving for it at one stage at 5-4. For someone with a big serve, why is Gooch performing so badly in the tiebreaks?

Its just a shame that out of all the potential draws we could have had, we had the toughest of the lot without our best player...

We got a win that's a win more than i was expecting (not counting the dead rubber win), and if gooch could win a tiebreaker (a big server who can't win tiebreaks, that's like suicide ) he could easily beaten massu.

We have Thailand away enxt year in zonals first up, if we beat them we play the winner out of India and Chinese Taipei i think and if win that we are playing playoffs again.
