So far in only 2 games, they have 15 goals between them.
CC says Tarrant will be fitter come round 6.
Pav says it may take up to a year for them to gel.
Well, i think they have started quite nicely at the moment, and it can only get better.
Exciting stuff ahead :)

Yeah lets see if we can win a game soon now.

Yeah thats all good and well, but we need midfielders to get the ball cleanly and deliver it to them precisely. It ain't that hard, but our footskills from the half back to midfield are really not that flash.

Yeah once we get Blackie back I'll be a bit more confident! His class and long accurate kicks into the 50 is something we're missing!

I gotta agree with Stylor and Sumavich, Tarrant and Pav look great, but when Tarrants gotta come out to the centre wing to receive the ball it looks bad on our midfield. Gilmore looked like he was pooing bricks out there and Hedland tried but couldnt get the run. We need Black back, with those impressive long lefties he belts Tarrant and Pav may get some good contested marks

I also feel with Peake out we lose a midfielder capable of running the ball from one circle to another, just hope Browne or Haze can fill that void

I think if we're really being honest, we don't have another midfielder who can run the lines. The Haze is too slow, and Browne is a liability with his kicking and general football brain. Of the midfielders we could have lost, Peake was the one we could least afford. Blacky might be able to slot into that role, but with the way our defense is working at the moment, we'll need him there instead.

We'll be a lot better when Johnno comes back. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but he would've been back this week. The kid's an absolute star !!

absolutely. Without him our defense looks very flimsy. Kinda like WCE without wirrapunda, his pinpoint kicks have saved us so many times. Black missing has compounded the problems. Noone to clear the ball with a big kick onto the chest of the teammate.

And we'll be so much better when Farmer comes back into the side crumbing off these two, we don't have anyone to replace the great man Andrew Browne simply isn't a crumbing foward!

I must admit I was a bit apprehensive when we traded for Taz. Thought it could have backfired on us badly.

From what I've seen so far I'm happy to say it looks like I was wrong (for once ;)). I'm very encouraged by the understanding he and Pav have struck up off the ball and I've been impressed by Taz's hard work chasing and tackling etc.

A lot of people bagged the club in general for recruiting Tazz as well as Soloman. Two games into 2007 and it's looking like we got some bargins. I'm hoping the Pav & Tazz Express really continues to grow, and I think they'll destroy some teams this year. Throw in Farmer and the mixture and our foward structure can be awesome and very potent. As far as Freo's midfield goes, we have more or less the same blokes as we did last year when we switched on and had our winning run. The ingredients are already in the team for a good midfield. Solly & Taz will repay the faith the club showed in pursuing them and recruiting them.

i agree, however i believe taz's uncontested dropped mark in the third term was the turning point on sunday

One dropped mark by tarrant but how many clangers by everyone else, dont put a turning point in the game down to a dropped mark by tarrant even if it should have been taken. The game was lost by poor disposal
