Hoppfully we can talk him out of retirement like we did with hudson. Huddo taught Grundy and Witts second efforts at contests now Cox can teach them how to find easy uncontested ball

Possibly as a coach purely - and I doubt he would choose us over a similar job at WC (edit: which it sounds like he has) unless there was a significant gap in contract

Great call. He could teach Grundy how to win soft free kicks. A couple that went Eagles' way in our match earlier this year had me gobsmacked.

Because Hudson is likely to retire for good.

Hudson will be our ruck coach. It was always the role we originally intended for him. He was good enough to also help us out as a back up ruckman when we needed him. Now we should let the guy do his coaching full time as he doesn't have to worry about anything else but teaching Grundy & Witts the ropes.

He was recruited as a ruck coach the playing part was an after thought. by role i meant the coaching part.

I think it's something Woosha worked on when at the helm. If you play for free kicks and only succeed on 25% of them you are still advantaged as a team. It's a strategy that clearly they have worked on for years. The umpires don't penalise players for staging and this should be looked at by the AFL in 2015 and beyond. Pay a free kick against that crap and it will stop pretty quickly. The Weagles have a team full of Ronaldo's. Makes me sick watching them.

Weagles don't have to look to far into the future without Cox as they now have Darling. He looks like he is the ultimate pretender. If you get a chance watch everytime he goes for a mark (contested or uncontested) he throws himself backwards.

Maybe my most hated player in the whole comp.

True True. It's a shame Buck's didn't utilise him when fit. Would have been great for the 2 kids to Ruck with him.
