Where the heck did we find this guy? A pick in the 50s, dude just has a sense for goal and the play. What a star.

Love that he kicks goals, if he can spend more time in the midfield too he will be great for us.

I like the cut of his jib.

Actually filled out a bit this year without losing his ability to run and goal.

Definite player of the future.

Also we apparently beat Essendon after the siren.

In Niall's defense - aren't all wins technically after the siren?

It's a bit of a sloppy review...

As an original member of the Kent bandwagon when people were comparing him to Luke Tapscott, I'd like to pleasantly say **** you to all the doubters.

Now I just need James Strauss to come good.

Who are the doubters? I don't remember anyone vehemently being against the bloke and I thought most people were in the "he looks promising" camp.

There was a thread. Idk.

Presumably Nick then. Must have been arguing with himself.

I was his biggest supporter and I torched a few peanuts who said he was selfish, a poor decision maker and a horrible kick of the footy

ALL of which are true but he can still play!

Selfishness can be a good thing. I remember earlier this year when I was torched for defending JKH when Dawes yelled at him for kicking a goal instead of passing the ball to him. Considering how few goals we've kicked this year I'll stand by my belief that sometimes doing the 'team thing' means taking responsibility and kicking the goal yourself when you have the skills to do it.

The only difference between 'selfishness' and 'taking responsibility' is quite often the result

I love Kents 'selfishness'
At the end of the day he backs himself and he delivers it more often than not
Something that the majority of draftees until this year havent had is confidence, your right JKH is another who backs himself in and I love it
Provided they no when the right moments are to share it ( Kent kicking to macca x 2 ) then they should keep going for it

Nah, if you're selfish and miss, expect a barreling. Selfish and goal, still selfish, still a goal. Just don't miss if you're going to be selfish. The problem with always being selfish is that team mates won't bother leading or providing an option and so on, which means Mr Selfish will then have to be selfish and take a shot or go himself etc, so it ends up being a self-perpetuating cycle.
