Hey guys,

what do you think about Dean Polo. he doesnt seem to get many games at richmond (am i right in saying that).

i reckon hes a half-decent player and should be getting a game, will he stay on at the Tiges or will he be delisted??

He is a decent player, just a bit slow.
Could be trade bait (albeit small bait at that), if not will probably stay on the list another year. If he doesn't do much next year, he'd be gone I would've thought.

Im a big fan of Polo but he just doesnt seem to get much of a go from Wallace and co. Really hope he finds a spot next season but it wouldnt surprise me a bit if he was traded this year.

im not a fan........
get rid of these players that we have been carryen for a wile that dont help us just weigh us down with its dead weight. eg. tambling polo JON.........

i rate him as your 4th best mid behind Foley, Deledio and Tuck,

no joke

Back here in reality though he would also be behind cotchin, johnson, tambling, white, jackson, connors, edwards and coughlan (if fit). This is based on talent and actual output.

I was a huge fan, but in a midfield as fast as ours he may well have no place.

Apparently alot has to do with his poor off field attitude, that is why it took him so long to make his debut, he started off in the Coburg ressies because of poor attitude when he came to the club, but due to good form he worked his way through and ended up playing a stellar debut game, winning BOG.

IMO he could be an elite tagger, he has all the ability, just really needs to work hard and WANT to play AFL, I hope we keep him, but don't see it happening, I would be hoping for a first rounder in return for him, but see us settling for a second rounder.

I agree and if he played more games he'd be in the top 3. He's a much better player than the amount of games he's played. It's obvious he's been a bit lazy off the ground. Absolute midfield talent who we MUST keep and he is not SLOW either. I have never once thought he was slow and it's laughable that some of our supporters are calling him slow because he isn't as fast as Lids, White, Foley etc

disagree in regards to his attitude.

when he arrived he was highly regarded because of his excellent endurance but had to work hard on his disposal by foot to which he has done so.

i rate him highly and with a good preseason behind him (didnt get one last year) he will be another cog to our midfield rotations.

his speed isnt appreciated on here. does anyone remember him chasing Davenport down on the wing at the MCG? may look gangly and unco but hes no slouch is Polo.

apparantley he got caught in bed with a couple of ladys by his girlfriend and this could be affecting him onfield.

I'd have Polo ahead of all those except Cotchin, Tambling and probably Edwards. Polo has a good footy brain and has a body that, if he gets his shoulders right, should be able to get some good size. People have jumped off this kid too quickly after an injury interupted year.

His 3rd qtr play againsed Frankston in the shocker final showed why he will be persevered with. Being held by 3 opposition players , with brute strength got the ball one handed above his head (with his arm being held) and slammed the ball down to his boot so hard to clear it. That was as strong a piece of play I have seen all year. Good stuff from Polo
